About the new ST film, in a TV Guide interview Berman mentions it will, 'center around an epic space event that occurs after Enterprise, but before TOS'. So it could be anytyhing, since we really dont know much about this time.

In response to the idea about connected movies, it is a good idea. What I think could work even better would be different ST miniseries. In a miniseries that lasts somewhere from 4-12 hour-long episodes could cover some of the more interesting events (Earth vs Rom war for example), and it wouldnt have to be cut down so it could fit into movie form. I would also think that it would not cost a studio nearly as much money to make a miniseries like this, as it would a full motion picture. (But then again, they may not make as much money off it if it wasnt in the theatres... :? ). The psooibilities for stories could be endless in between the different miniseries.

Anybody else out there see the final Enterprise? Ugh, what a stinker! In my opinion, the only good thing about this episode was the few nice CG shots they showed of the ENT-D. Looked alot nicer there than the old model.
The episode was supposed to be about Ent going home to be decomissioned, to make way for Starfleet's new Warp 7 ships, and for Archer to give a speech at the signing of the Federation charter. Do we see anything about the new ship... No, do we see anything about the Federation charter..., No. Just a bunch of Riker, trying to make up his mind about an important decision, and for whatever reason, watching what the Ent crew did on its final mission helped him out. :? A horrible ending to a fairly good, but often not very well written Trek series.

I would agree there Rigel about the final episode, didn't really finish the series all that well. It was nice to see the Enterprise-D again tho, they did a good job of the interior sets (except that turbolift :? ). I actually watched the TNG episode "Pegasus" afterwords. Didn't really tie in all that well to be honest.

A mini series would be kinda cool, a lot of potential.

i just watch the last two episodes of ENT. (damn uni firewall  )

i agree it was rubbish as a finale. A good episode but not good enough to end a show on.... :x

i remember the episode pegasus and it is a pretty good tie-in but the fact it was on a holodeck made it seem "less real" esp with riker actually intereacting with history as it were. it seemed more like a farewell to all star trek with the three enterprises at teh end rather than a farewell to the NX01.

also why was there no speech? :x what we love about star trek is the hope and the optimistic future about humanity it offers so one of those naive speeches about hope and good over evil would have been appropriate here. maybe cos archer screwed up his speech thats why they didnt show it. without the speech there was no closure, no sense that everything over the past 4 seasons was worthwhile. not like TNG or DS9 when you felt they had accomplished something and all good things...

also with trip dying, was a bit random and pointless, looks like the writers did it for fun cos we would never know the emotional outcome of the death so it made it kinda pointless.

but overall season 4 was the best, too bad manny coto joined to late to save enterprise cos season 5 would have been amazing.

sorry about the mini rant but i was disappointed by the finale altho the feeling of nostalgia at the end was nice but not enough to make up for a poor finale. Terra Prime was a very good episode with a very emotional ending and i think with a little tweaking of the final scenes i.e. a happy ending rather than a sad ending with hope, which was offered a bit about having a cross breed baby freak is possible, coudl have easily made it as a good season finale.

end.:)

Like you said, it was nice to see the Ent d again, but it was the season finale of Enterprise. We shouldnt have seen the Ent d period.

And dont worry about the rant Sovarn. I atleast dont mind it, cause I agree with all that you said.
