Slap me silly and call me stupid here! lol About the meetings. i would enjoy going to them, however I'm not really sure how. The Time line is the big problem. Sorry but I'm not smart enough to know where I am on the GMT. Being in the U.S. Colorado, I think I'm about 8 hours behind England but am just not sure.
Do you hald the meetings in this forum or do you have an actual "chat area?"
Also in a lot of the posts I notice many talking about TNG in various seasons. Am I missing something?
I've always just played the game and enjoyed the shows. Many of you are really indepth into every aspect of it. Care to teach an old fart what you all are talking about? LOL ..
Last thing promise. is there a way to dump a starting thread if I wrote one posted it then realize it was silly?
TEACH ME FINE WARRIORS OF ALL RACES!!!!!

Just ask what you wanna know.
I assume u just didn't get to know the thing referred to as "TNG" means the "Next Generation"-series with picard and his friends.

Yeah, that could be what he means.
Winterhawk, to make life easier, we simply shorten the various titles of each series of trek to three letters. This is how the various incarnations of Trek go: -
TOS - The Original Series - Kirk and other other green aliens
TNG - The Next Generation - Picard and friends
DS9 - Deep Space Nine - Sisko and the Wormhole
VGR - Voyager - Janeway and the never-ending journey (And now it has )
ENT - Enterprise - Archer and the wrong timeline
Does this help? If not, what else don't you understand? I'll see if I can help you more. Like ftranschel said though, if you don't understand something, just ask. Even those that apparently know everything about trek don't!
...
Winterhawk, i've done a google, and you live in the MDT time zone. This means you are -7 hours GMT. However, we are currently on daylight savings time, so it is actually -6 hours.
This means that (For you) our meetings are held at 2pm on Sundays. If you want to double-check, have a look here:
http://www.timetemperature.com/tzus/colorado_time_zone.shtml
A word of warning though - for the past three weeks, nothing has happened in the meetings (Ie. no-one else turned up, or we got...side-tracked... )
CVN's computer is broke at the moment, so he has an excuse, OmniQ is usually there but busy, Rigel usually turns up if he can, and the others occaisionally drop by.
95% of the time though, I manage to make it.
In the meetings, we discuss the random events. We decide if a random event would work, or if it needs tweaking. We decide (Or should decide) how the event will be worded in the game (Several of them were written by me ) and we decide if any need to be removed/added.
If you fancy turning up to them, we do the meetings over MSN. Leave your sign-in info here or in the MSN meeting thread, and i'll add you to my contacts list.

Yeah! This statement fits perfectly to my opinion of ENT
BTW: My MSN is "fabiantranschel@hotmail.com" and I'll see if I can manage to turn up at the meetings. As far as I know the current german timezone is EMZ, so for me they are at 20pm?!

I think you mean 10pm...
20pm doesn't exist afterall, unless you think 24 hour clock...which would then be 8pm (Or 6pm GMT!)
Well I see your now on MSN, so goodbye for now.

Didn't say anything nasty - just said said it was 'wrong'.
I always assumed something would happen towards the end that puts the timeline back to how it 'should' be, but since Enterprise has ended, there isn't any chance of that.

Well, think of the obvious fact that ENT has originally been written for 7 seasons, so we can assume that everything should have been corrected in the lost seasons - if we want to

As far as the shows go, I am guessing that I see them way before you all do, with me being in the U.S. and all. Yes I am aware of all the abrs, I was just a bit lost with lingo and things of that nature. Your all good!
My MSN = winterhawk7@msn.com, also winter_hawk7@yahoo.com, and I have about 12 others but would take too long to list em all.
Unless I have a class, i would enjoy being at the meetings. As you all have seen, my mind comes up with some interesting things.
Here is something I have wondered about with humor.
the game is BTOF corrcect? Now correct me here, but ever since I first started playing, I have not once seen or battled the Great Enterprise.
Can anyone esplain this ? LOL And will the Enterprise be in BOTF2?
Just wondering thats all.

I assume you mean a Sovereign-Class Enterprise. Well, apparently the AI-Federation makes no use of the Utopia-Planitia building at Sol, allowing them to build Defiants and Sovs.

ftranschel,
Ah! I see. That explains much. Guess we can't have everything we want in fun huh?

You can always mod it in once you get the game - and as for this 'BTOF' you are on about Winterhawk, it doesn't exist!
BOTF is simply short for Birth Of The Federation, thus BOTF2 = Birth Of The Federation 2.
I've added you to my MSN contacts list (I used the Winterhawk7 one) so don't be surprised by a certain grimmedbythereapernew@yahoo.co.uk sending you random messages or the like. (I'd never do a thing like that, but I can't vouch for my Romulan communications methods)
Don't be frightened off by any 'Treknobabble' that any of us talk about - like I keep saying, if you don't have a clue what we are on about, just ask. The forums are there for people to discuss things afterall! If you can't ask questions, what is there left to discuss?
And rememeber, you can always PM me, i'll always help as best I can. (Doesn't mean i'll always actually be able to though)
