Perhaps I am misreading a great deal, but it seems that there are a lot of 'minority ideas' that some people like but game developers or a slightly larger majority do not, and would thus be relegated to modders.
Modability is a great aspect of the game, since it should ideally make everybody happy, at least with single-player games.....
Anyway, does anyone agree with me that for those of us who are non-computer savvy perhaps a 'wish list' of future mods might be created? I was thinking we could use this thread to collect the most popular of the minority ideas or the little gripes that aren't really that important from a development standpoint. Once a decent list is compiled, perhaps people who are more skilled at modding could either help the less capable of us out or at least show us where to make the changes necessary.
So I guess this is just a collection of rejected ideas that might be modded in at a later time, for ease of reference and (hopefully) coherent modding. I'd also like this to be a general 'modding support group' Laughing Laughing Laughing
Any thoughts? Question

I don't know if this is possible but a mod that contains built in missions or scenarios ie. First Contact, Kobayashimaru, Nemesis, Expanse missions, TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY - Way Of The Warrior

What about a ultra high res mod? I mean, the current modelling concentrates on the reduction of poly count for cpu-issues. I though think players with capable gaming machines (like me ^^) would like to see real high-res ships that are even more awful than jig's current work

High res models would look better for those that can run it, i agree. I hope you were joking, Jig and his team are doing brill.
On another note where can i find out if i've been accepted or not in the games testers (the group page seems to have disappeared)

They're better without registries. Its not going to dynamically add different registries for each and every ship - that wouldn't be practical and would also be fairly pointless.. and I'd hate to see a fleet of USS Enterprise's

Jig,
i'm thinking Trek boy Chris was reffering the the graffic of the Federation ship you posted on page 1. Nice detail by the way.
Trekboy... some feel double posting here within the same day is spamming. I did it a couple times as my time/date function on my computer was all a mess. Matress assisted me in getting it corrected.
Jig, any chance of seeing a New Battle Crusier (Rom)? In the near future?

get g-max, it`s free and you can learn to model on that, then if you like it, get either 3ds max or lightwave, they are the best on the market. g-max is ok t olearn the badics but it will not export to 3ds the most common format, so use it as a tester kinda. or milkshape 3d, a lot of armada modders use that, and it`s cheap.

Is blender an alternative with the option to export the right formats?
