I guess i'll just say hi, since this is my first post on this site and I'm still in awe at the fact someone decided to make BOTF2!! I have to say I'm am extremely impressed at the dev team for making botf2 a reality. I stumbled across this site about a month ago and I regularly come back here to check the forums.
I have but one question for the devs:
I dunno if this quesiton has been asked or not but are you guys going to accept any donations after the game is released? I only say this because I'd be more than happy to donate $20-25 since its the sequal to one of my favorite trek games.
btw the Cardy models look awesome and I'll be patiently waiting for the Romulans

This has come up on other threads and basically nobody is talking about money including donations on this website in order to avoid the wrath of the copywright lawyers from Paramount. Any acknowledgement on this website that the developers would accept donations could be pounced upon by the lawyers and shut the project down.

Well we have to watch how these types of things are worded and suggested. They can not and will not except any form of payment towards this project due to the repercussions of retaining any of these funds. Lawyers are like AIDS one wrong move and you catch it. Now as far as supporting jiggys beer foundation; now see that is a well worthly charity. Due to it has nothing to do with Paramount, or is it not in any way associated with the said fanbase game of BOTF (2).

Perhaps we ought to set up an Alcoholics Anonymous thread...?
Seriously though, Valcoren is right. One wrong move, and Paramount's lawyers could be all over Gavin and the team - and us if we aren't careful! (Since we are supporting the dev's 'illegal' activities)
Whilst it would be nice to reward the team, doing so could break all sorts of laws. And we're all law-abiders here...right?
