The topic about ages has really got me thinking. I find when you chat online you build up a perception of what you imagine a person is like, looks like etc. Reading people's ages can really really throw that off, if you just assumed someone was much older or younger than they turned out to be.

It's made me really curious as to what you all look like, (some people in particular), I think we should all post a picture here!

*Someone will have to tell me how as I have no idea.

If you wanna host pictures SOM, then you're gonna need some actual photos, () and somewhere to host them.

Photobucket (http://www.photobucket.com/register.php) will do this for you - and it's totally free! You get 1.5Gb of bandwidth per month, although you can increase this by paying for it.

I use photobucket myself to host all the pics and avatars that i've made whilst i've been on this site.

Once you've signed up, put the pictures onto your computer (Scan them, download or whatever) They need to be in any of the following file types for photobucket to be able to host them: jpg, gif, png, bmp, tif, or swf.

Once they are saved onto your computer, log into photobucket, then click on the browse button, select your picture, then clcik on submit. Photobucket automatically resizes pictures that are too large, although you may have to manually change it later on if the picture comes out too big. (Like Centurion_Vardin's avatar did a week or so ago)

Once hosted, you will be able to see your picture, followed by three boxes of information.

All you have to do, is copy and paste the information from the correct box.

If you want to link to a file, copy the info in the top box.
If you want to place an image tag, copy the info in the second box.
If you want to show the picture in a post etc. copy the info in the third box.

So you need to copy the info in the third box to show your picture.

...

Right then, you wanna know what I look like, right?

Here you go then:

*ACCESS TO THE IMAGE HAS BEEN RESTRICTED BY THE TAL SHIAR*

What a pity...

(Yuch! Passport Photo)

*Edit - Nice try Jig, the Obsidian Order can try their hardest, but my operatives will NEVER be beaten!*

Hmph! The Tal Shiar are sloppy.

In order to generate confusion, I have decided to give only a distorted web camera image of myself. One should never reveal their complete appearance unlike Matress who out of 'sloppyness' revealed a clearer picture....

Image

I hope you enjoyed today Matress, it will be your last.

Matress you look a bit different then i expected, but really can't you post anything better then a passport photo? Besides i can only see 70% procent of the photo, perhaps i have to erase the buffer of my browser... I am also wondering how you look like SOM.. Don't know Mangan and Silvercliff really... Will post a pic of me tommorow or something, when i have time to take a pic...

Passport photos are naff - no offence. You just sit on the chair frowning while it snaps pics for £1 each  Again not relating to your pic SOM just in general

I have thick hair all over my body, varying from white to grey to brown. I get around a lot, and reproduce several times a day. Hmm I'm about 10 centimeters in height, 10 centimeters wide and 15 centimetres long. Oh, and I make a purring noise when held.

Oh crap, what was it my shrink said to me..."you are N0T a tribble".

Sloppy work, Mangan?

The passport photo is almost 2 years old - people change in just two years!!

(I haven't though)

...

Iwulff, I don't know what you mean by only 70% of the photo coming up, it's only small anyway.

I could make it bigger if you want though.

(Of course, that would lead to a lower quality picture for the Obsidian Order to use...)

...

Abbs, I guess we don't need a pic of you then, you can just tell us which Tribble you were in the various episodes!

...

Jade, no offense, but had no idea you were a girl. You must be good at evading my operatives!

I just thought your name was coz of a facination with pretty rocks or something...

I always thought BOTF was quite a guys game really - you've opened my eyes on that one!

...

SOM, same here, no idea you looked like that either!

...And what's a Klingon doing spending time with his doctor?!

...Wait...Klingons have doctors? 8O

I needed a holographic doctor as we Klingons "make great warriors, but terrible doctors". He was healing my wounds from slughtering Jem Hadar!

Matress- No offence but I picuted you as being really fat! You just have this really jolly persona and know bucket loads about Trek! You look totally different to what I thought.

Silvercliff, Mangan & Jade I don't really know so didn't know what to expect.

I want to see Jig, iwulff & trekboy I reckon. I've got an idea what they look like, although I figured jig to be about my age so maybe not!

Matress, what did you think I'd look like then? Curious now.

The only girls I know who like games pretty much stop with racing and sonic. I figured quietly sitting in a chair for 10 hours straight watching an empire slowly collapse due to your plans was a guy thing also. It is very cool that some girls play BoTF.

Well it's coz you are the _only_ girl(s) that I know of that play BOTF. My sister despises it, and more than once tried to unistall it ('Accidentally' of course )

Oh, and ya, pretty name.

...

SOM, i'm a jolly fat guy am I? Think i'm missing a big white beard and a red hat?

To tell you the truth, that's <Sorta> how I imagined you - I don't know why, but I also imagined you were very tall - compared to you Jem'Hadar lambs to the slaughter, of course.

Can't think why though.

...Is Jig gonna be much of a surprise...? Large...Pink...Round...you get the picture...

Would be nice to see iwulff though.

Well I'm 6'2", how tall did you expect?!

To be brutally honest I thought most people would look like comic book guy! Everyone looks way too... normal to be obsessing over a Star Trek computer game! These picture are so far making me feel fairly well adjusted.

I also picture the pink gremlin thing when I think of Jig. I imagine iwulff's really short, I have absolutely no explanation why though.

We might be this 'normal' thing on the outside, but on the inside...THAT'S a different question.

We all think differently, when people wonder "Is it gonna rain today?" we all think "That guy looks like a Breen in that hoody!".

Besides, fooling people is part of the job for me.

Oh, and you don't look like you're 6'2" in the photo...you look more like...err..6'1"!...

*Edit you guys are faster at posting!

Oh, and I forot I already knew what you look like, Centurion.*

I could beat most of the guys on here at botf i think :P
I loved playing BOTF1 mainly because i like to control armys, fleets ect ( i play rome TW alot as well, and css sometimes but im not good at it.)

I like playing games that last ages and keep me interested, and my dad always was a star trek fan so he warped me lol.

Best thing to do on a week day is play a game for a few hours with a beer or a baileys before bed :) im not an alcoholic i promise!

1/ That sounds like a challenge!

2/ That isa pretty good way to spend an evening, so long as it's one or two! Never play BoTF hammered after the pub, all I ever do is go around conquering minor races and declaring war on everyone. I'll load up in the morning and be like "what the f*ck did I do to my saved game!"
