Hi every1, i got this game when it first came out. god knows when that was, but after a year i broke my cd casue i sat on it lol. ever sinse then ive been tryin 2 find a way of gettin it back by wat ever means.

does any1 now a link 2 download it from or can some1 with broudband send me it somehow.

Okay if you become a member in the BOTF armadafleetcommand forums you can download a copy of the game but you have to emulate it using demon tools so you can burn it properly

You need Deamon Tools from the Downloads page

Basiclly it emulates files so that its easier for Nero to burn them - don't know about other burn software

dl the iso from the botf site, then get magic iso (web search) then extract all files from the iso to a folder, launch the exe from there. then get deamon tools (web search) mount the iso on a ghost drive useing above deamon tools. edit the ini file in your botf folder to read from the ghost drive.

If you go to armadafleetcommand, they have all the mods you'll ever want for BOTF - like the guys have said though, wait a few weeks, and you'll have an even better game!

Well i've always used WinRAR much better than Winzip and it worked when i tried it with that

i do use winrar but the file is in zip for wat ever reason and wont open with winrar for winzip

so you dl it ok but it won`t open? strange indeed, i`ll look into it,

im now downloading the 1.0 file which is a rar file. mite have better luck with that

What is the EXACT file name (inc extenstion) that you downloaded and the file size.

Btw if u can try mounting the zip with daemon tools virtual drive with safedisc emulation on, if it doesnt work can you do a copy of the zip/rar and using the copy as test bed, rename the extension from .zip or .rar to .ISO and try mounting again in daemon tools.

You can try the above but need to know exactly what you downloaded and the filename and size.

Sending it might be a bit of a problem, you'd need to send it over MSN or something.

A 337Mb attachment would be a bit much for most email addys!

i downloaded birth of the federation off the site which is 396 bytes

and downloaded birth of the federation 1.0 337.47 MB

andive just realised 1 file says 166,743 and the other says 5,804

im gettin anoyed now so goin pub for a drink, will contine when i return

It might say it is 396 bytes, but i've tried downloading it myself, and it is most certainly 337Mb - they both are actually, according to my computer.

Perhaps there is some sort of mistake there?
