no.. enterprise was entertaining, but hardly the BEST ever. I'd have to go with TNG. I loved ds9 too though.

DS9, by miles.
1/ DS9
2/ TNG
3/ ENT
4/ VOY
5/ TOS
But that's just me. Bad Star Trek is like bad sex and bad pizza. Even when it's bad, it's still mightly fine.

Actually, I'd probably have TNG & ENT in joint second place.

Voyager is the best, no boubt about it. Year of Hell...Species 8472...Equinox...all great episodes. Like i've said before, I think Voyager perfected end of season cliff-hangers. Ok, so tech-wise it wasn't exactly pefect, but how can you be, when you have decades of <Sometimes conflicting> source material to base a story on?
Enterprise...is a good series in itself, but as a Trek...nyeh. Messing with the Timeline just doesn't work with me. The series should have focussed much more on the first contacts with races we already know of, rather than meeting ones that apparently don't exist even 100 years later!
DS9...had a good intro, want boring in the middle, then went out in one hell of a bang - even if there was the minor oversight that Sisko could've come back at any time he pleased.
I especially liked the fact that the opening credits changed over time (Coz i'm the sort of freak who notices things like that) but the fact that there was an entire new Quadrant to explore wasn't a bad thing either.
TNG...had its moments, but it also had bad ones. I don't think retirement would be a bad thing for the crew now, but guest appearances shouldn't be out of the question. The fact that many of the episodes were written during filming is never a good thing.
TOS...the grandaddy of them all. TOS's purpose was a vision of the future, but that vision is now out of date. Whilst it was new and fresh when it was made, it is out of place with modern times. The newer treks all brought something new in their own respects, and lost some things in the process - which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Every series has its own merits and failings. Some more so than others. I absolutely love Voyager, but i'll sit and watch any episode from any series you throw at me.
Because of this, i'd have Voyager at the top of my list, with the others all in joint second place.

I think TNG was the best overall. But on the "Big things" Voyager and DN9 were both very good - voyager edging it. I enjoyed most of Enterprise though aswell. Havn't seen TOS don't know much about it

1. DS9 - best overall
2. TNG - got much better after first few years. I enjoyed this series more than any of the others. The characters seem like old friends.
3. VOY - mostly enjoyable but could do without so much politics.
4. TOS - hate to have this so low
5. ENT - never got into it. Maybe once it hits syndication and I can watch it night after night I'll enjoy it more. That's how I came to like Voyager so much.

DS9 by miles.
Yoyager though a good series, lacks vitally in the aspect of good characters, and characters relationships.
Sorry but Harry Kim, Neelix, Tom Paris and Belanna tores are just weak characters, and thats the Main cast.
Compare with characters like Odo, Jadzia, "QUARK!!!" "Garak" "Demar" "Dukat"
"Weyoun" "Worf" and "Sisko"
They just blow away everything Voyager can put up against it, and half of them aren't even main characters.

DS9: Best Federation Military display

Season 4 of Enterprise was for me the best. I didn't liked the Xindi/Sphere Builders... etc.. stuff nearly as much as i like the stuff with Vulcans, Romulans, Antedeans etc.. involved.
I think that DS9 had a good show when finally some action came into play.
TOS is just old... "Voyage home" and the "Undiscovered country" are great but TOS. Voyager was OK, but i think they kinda went berserk with the timetravel ****, you see it in Enterprise they get more and more addicted to it, until they finally see that enough is enough. Voyager made Borg look like weaklings, i didnt like that at all. The overall part is also not that great, to many weird and stupid stuff. Dinosaurs from earth that suddenly went to the stars to another quadrant, who would ever do such a thing? The ridiculious Species 8472 as seeing the Federation as there new thread. Kes as becoming somekind of an energy being, suddenly can't countrol it and want revenge? I mean if you become energy you don't have a body anymore... Duh.
That is why i am so dissapointed at the socalled StarTrek fans, with there stupid timelines. I mean Enterprise season 4 could have been the beginning of 2/3 more episodes of the same kind, to give StarTrek in general a better future. Now there is doubt if there will ever come a movie or serie.
TNG is a bit like Voyager but overal it's somehow much better. It just is. I won't talk about Nemesis since it was made on a holodeck.
EDIT: Oh remember dino janeway and dino paris... that was perhaps the most terrible idea i have ever seen on startrek. (Some dirty dream of someone?)

Its hard to pick favorite among favorites, but if I have to...
DS9. Best all around
TNG had great stories and characters, but it lacked the connecting story arcs that I learned to appreciate in DS9, VOY, and ENT.
ENT. It had the chance to be a truly great series, but had the plug pulled much too early. If they had the chance to finish out their series, we would have go to see the Earth/Romulan war, and that would have been really cool.
VOY. Best concept, but like cdrwolfe said, lacked some good characters (although Janeway, Chakotay, and the Doctor were all great). But it also had some really great episodes (the ones that Matress mentioned earlier come to mind).
TOS is TOS. Great for its time, but not my cup of tea...

I just wish they'd carried on with Enterprise. In the end it was too short and it was getting so much better
Valcoren, how could you rate Underscovered Country as the worst? I thought it was very well done with a excellent take by Christopher Plumber. I thought everyone agreed that ST:V was the worst - and it was!

I still think even season 1 and 2 of Enterprise where brilliant! Personally I am disappointed they didn't get into more detail about the temporal cold war. I realy liked that storyline.

Ds9 stomps them all on characters alone, no other series has ever been bold enough to put these kinds of conflicting characters together
odo and quarks battles were entertaining, the breaking down of there stereotypes was clever and their places in the show were endearing
garak is one of the greatest star trek characters ever, ambigous and slanted; everything he said made you think
jadzia was a flirtatious and fun and not ashamed of her vices, a first for any trek character
bashir and o`brien had the only proper friendship treks ever made, it starts adversarial and becomes almost marital
worf was just the quiet, grunting klingon on the enterprise, he developed a lot in ds9
thats just a few, no other trek series before or after developed any of this. TOS had the kirk, spock and bones triangle which was the heart of the show. trek had episode after episode of deanna troi and will riker, which was just awful in some episodes. voyager had first neelix, then seven and the doctor propping up the show. the character just dont compare
ds9 is the only show bold enough to try and do something different from TOS, TNG is just a rehash for all its achievements, voyager is a moneyspinner and enterprise was a show with potential that fell on its ass
here it is in order
ds9
tos
tng
voyager
ent

Ok why ST6 was in my opinion the worst: Pepto-Bismol blood of the Klingons, they made the ENT-A a joke of a starship that would have been destroyed if it were not for the Excelsior there to assist on a one lucky shot of a torpedo. It was the first movie to make Kirk look weak toward his command. Old Kirk would have never forgiven the Klingons for killing David. But ST5 was surely a terd of a movie as well.

DS9, also had some of the greatest episodes ever,
Gul Darhel, the Murderer, turning out to be the file clerk
Jake sisko losing his Father and his attempt through his lifetime to save him
Inter Arma Silent Legas, One of the Best, Trying to get the Romulans into the War, Garak is god.
so many others feel free to spout them off

I don't see how so many people can rate Voyager so highly. Seriously.
It did NOTHING that compares to such brillianty episodes as "In the Pale Moonlight" (still, by far and away, Treks finest hour) or "Inter Arnim Silent Leges." Even "Badda Bing Badda Bang" was better than 90% of the dross Voyager served up.
Don't get me wrong, Voyager had some good eps, "Author, Author" was brilliantly conceived and executed for example, and "Equinox" was a good two parter. But generally Voyager was let down by an unwillingness to push the envelope. Take "Year of Hell" as an example. That would have been better as an entire season rather than a two parter with a reset button at the end. As soon as main crew members started dying, you just knew that was going to be a reset button. So for mine, a lot of peeps favourite Voyager episode/story, "Year of Hell" was absolutely pants...
Voyager was a wasted premise, and easily the weakest series of the franchise to date. Enterprise in its fourth season produced more memorable episodes than Voyager did in its entire seven season run...

1. DS9
2. TNG
3. Voy
4. Ent
i havent seen a lot of TOS, so i wont rate it. i wish one of the comm stations would pick it up and play it. even if it was on a 2 in the morning. at least i can tape it.
any way the 2 best movies are:
The voyage home - TOS era
First Contact - TNG era
"capatin, there be whales here!"
anyone know if is it possible to create a poll in this thread?

I could edit the post or perhaps Captain_Billy_Bacon would like to do it, since he actually posted it. But anyway what do you want to have for kind of poll? Favorite series? Something like this:
DS9
VOY
ENT
TOS
TNG
