Hi Guys,

In the pic thread i got talking to a few people about maybe getting a multiplayer going as soon as possible (obviously people will need to wait till botf2 is released with multiplayer, and for people to get used to the new game) But it never hurts to plan things with plenty of time to spare

I was originaly talking to son of mogh and jiggly i think but any way if people post here orgaising the game shouldnt be hard and the spaces will quickly be used. Also if people cant wait i guess we could try this with the buggy original but it will be stressful im guessing.

We have:

Klingons -
Cardassians - Jiggly (that pink thing )
Federation - Son of mogh
Romulans -
Dominion - << i would love to try these guys, thought i better give you guys the advantage of me not ever playing them before

i would like the dominion then, if that is oke for you, Jade? or when possible i would like to play the vulcans... but i doubt that would be possible.

If you want the dominion alot ill go klingon but yea looks like it may be a full game all we need is a romulan.. theres plenty of them on this site!

Ill be your Klingons if you want.

Tho it might have to be after i have a mp game with USS Defiant from the forums as i promised him a game first. But after that sure ill play you Jade.

romulans are still free i think but we will have to wait for comfirmation from son of mogh and jiggly to see if there are more options available

We still aren't sure if multiplayer will be in the game, or are we? Could you update your list then?

I read somewhere Multiplayer may not be in, in the release of botf2 on sat. so im not sure.

Don't doubt that Matress would like to play the Roms, but there are a bunch of others also...

The slots there if you want it just let me know, during the game it would be nice to gather screenys of everyones progress to post up a full game review on the forums on how the game was played (obviously for the empires security purposes the screens would be posted after the game had finished lol

The question really is "Can" we play as other races at the moment, ie is there UI etc done, considering they were ment to be added by seperate modules done by fans later on i thought.

I think we will need top set up a Demo Help and AAR thread, pool our knowledge of the game

Obviously we are talking about playing the game if and when multiplayer is put into play. We will need to wait for the other race mods etc as well but im sure once the game is out people will be working on these

Thanks Iwullf i was thinking each person playing could take screenys and write about how there game went how they were destroyed or how they destroyed others ect if it is going to be a full game with humans playing all races it will last ages, the only thing we wouldnt be able to write about would be the AI but i guess someone playing a single player would have wrote about the AI before this multi player even starts .

That's a point. It wouldn't surprise me if this game has to be postponed for a little while cos we'll only be able to play as Feds initially. It would take all the modules to be done for all these races to be playable.

Well if we can only play federation, then is there perhaps a possibility that we all have to play as them? or perhaps that isn't possible. That is perhaps why Gavin said that multiplayer might be in or our, because of lack of player choices. Because Jig is working hard in finishing models and stuff...

Im confused are we saying multi player might not be in the 1st release of the game (this wouldnt surprise me as i was expecting to have to wait for the mods) or are we saying multiplayer might have been scraped altogether through lack of race choice?

i ment the demo that is planned this saterday. The full game will have multiplayer support.

Jiggly by tested do you mean all races may be already modded in the saterday release? Or are you testing the multiplayer useing federation only?

great news Jig! I finally get a chance to crush you, although i think you are much better then me, don't hope i become the canonfodder or something.

i have never played boft online before, i have played LAN games with family but never like what we have planed here, i hope i dont let myself down in game and i hope i get to blow up a few federation defiants at some point

What do you intent to do about the different places in the world most ppl are that is wanting to play? I mean will everyone make the mp game that wants to here?

I know its a bit early to really think about mp in this thread as demo might not have mp enabled but i was just woundering have you thought about it for when it does come.

We will have to play at a time that is ok for everyone involved, but untill we know if it will be possible in the demo to play a mp game we cant really deside. Do you guys have msn?
