the guys ment this saterday, just relax. Gavin was testing and couldn't test all components. The demo might suffer from a small delay, but it's still saturday.

just relax, mate. It is not your job to remind them of a charity they are willing to give us. If it's done today, we get it today. If not, then we get it tomorrow or another day. Patience... Lots of us waited months or years, I don't think one more day is going to hurt anyone.

I do not know, but perhaps there are some places is the world, where it is still Saturday now. Here in Franconia wie have a beautiful morning, the sun is shining, but it's a little bit cold outside. But relax: On Hawaii it's still Saturday and in the Western USA it's Sunday for 12 minutes. So maybe the game is only delayed about a few hours, so relax. We have been waiting so long for the game to come out, so we can wait a little bit more. I am happy for the confirmation that the game will be released in future....

I'm in England, its 09:06 and the weather is ok. Surely when Jig said Saturday he meant Saturday in England as that's where he lives

Yeah, but it was dev speak. There are no know translations for that yet.
Heh, and the total for newbies yesterday was 22 - the site's current record.

Maybe a mass email should be sent out as there seems to be loads of people registered and I am sure hundreds would come back if informed of an imminent release, because a year is a long time to wait and keep checking

i disagree, some people have been here for a long time, and have made suggestions and been loyal. If they want to come back when they remember they can, but y should people who didnt contrabute at all be reminded??
Just my opinion, doesnt mean anything!

I see where you're coming from undated, but the only way the people who actually spent so much time on this project will actually gain anything (tangible at least) from it, is if the game is widely seen.
johnny-come-latelies are a good thing in this instance imo...

I am getting real tired of the masses of first time posters who realy think they have a say in these kind of things! Gavin does not owe anything to any of you. He doesn't *have* to release the game or the demo this weekend. If he decides to pull the plug out of the entire project tomorrow he has every right to do so and there is nothing any of us can do or say about it. Well, perhaps those who contributed over the last few years and spent their own time in the project.
But all you people demanding updates and releases should realy just shut up! The game is ready when the game is ready. There will be no mass emails or whatever to anyone. This is going to be a free game and a complete charity from Gavin and the other devs to all involved. We are not entitled to expect or demand anything and should be only gratefull with what we get, when we get it.

Well this is an open forum. You tell people a sequel to one of their fave games has a demo out on a set day - well people will expect it. If they don't get it then they will moan.
But you are right we all need to support these people and give them the time they need to do their stuff and provide criticism if it is needed in a polite and constructive way.
I didn't even know this project existed until a few weeks ago and I think the word is really spreading now.

Another thing that i think is a bit strange is the amount of members who have been on this site for a few months and only post once or twice. Some may only choose to become a member so they can d/l the game without putting anything into the project. Thta's why i thought be should only let people who have say posted 10 times to get a early download and let the others wait for a bit
