I haven't felt like this since Christmas as a kid, the feeling slightly tops losing virginity and first experience with beer for sheer excitement.

Nice one SonOfMogh, your absaloutly right, i cant wait to get my Botf2 cherry popped. Ive even got a priority list of things im going to do when i get the game going.

1. Meet a poor, hapless species (like say, humans)
2. subjagate, re-educate and repeat
3. deliberatly let a system get out of control (one i dont like) and send a counter insurrection fleet to help them reconsider their struggle.
4. Build a Galor
5. send it on a rampage
6. have a belly laugh
7. Send a friendly, neighbourhood obsidion order bomb, space freight.
8. Blow up a flying coffin
9. use extremely long and complicated words when im communicating with the pakleds
10. mourn the death of my first Galor
11. seek vengeance on the galaxy
12. come here and brag about it
13. eat, sleep, consume alcohol do my uni course, bathe, be social, contribute to society

Is anyones priorities really any different?

Only heard about BOTF 2 today for the first time as I in the wait for Civ 4, I decided I would play my other most addictive strategy game, BOTF (along with Civ2)

Until I realised I had lost the disc, I've always wanted a BOTF 2 and this sounds amazing.

Can we have clarification when the demo will be released. I don't want to keep checking if its not going to come out today.

Cheers Devs, you have done a great service. If its as good as it sounds (Basically BOTF but more in depth) this could be amazing.

Well I'm in the UK, so it would probably be released here in the middle of the night so I would have to wait for Sunday anyway.

Will there be a manual with it?

It seems too deep to be without one.

And by demo, what is left out?

Wait till you see the newest version. Graphics are redone, new resolution, and all kinds of stuff. It really looks so cool at the moment, i was working on a tft screen, have to try it on a crt also.

Sorry to hear that Gavin, not much you can say when a death is involved, but give your support and understanding. As cdrwolfe says friends and family come first.

me, gavin and others shall continue testing shortly. I don't know an exact date nor time for the release of the demo, but it will be soon. All i can ask of you is to try and stay patient.

Perhaps what kind of options you would like to have in the database? I mean how detailed do you want to have the races, do you want to enlist all technologies and stuff, tutorials, howtomod section.. stuff like that. I guess the more the better, right? I already have an enormous amounts of little sounds so that is ok for the moment. Perhaps some short movieclips in it? or rotating models (should ask jig for that ;) ).
