Unless this has already been completed, i wouldn't mind doing something with the Map sections and Stellar Cartograhpy?

If the database will be the only tutorial/help file in the game, I think a how to play / tutorial section would be highly welcome. I do not know if a how to mod section would be apropriate..

That's because the Database isn't fully completed so at somepoints there's nothing to load

You send me it in .avi format, perhaps .mpg would also work, i haven't tried that yet. Solid means without texture, right? And plane like when you see the wires is also very cool. So if you would like could you send me one .avi model with wireframe stuff...? Do you know flash? can you work with it?

you can draw lcars for me in some drawprogram. I could then redo them when i think they are good enough, with animations and perhaps better graphics. Only if you like it, but you should know that i already the basics for the maps section. What did you want to do with that section?

Sorry i wasn't aware of that Iwulff, i was thinking we'd have some sort of Galaxy map with the ability to zoom in on different sections and get information of the different Planets or Species. I'm sure we could use sections out of Star Charts.
How does this sound to you?

Stupid question for those who have tried out the combat but......?
What size do the ships look like while in combat, if i take for example MOO3, the resolution and ship size was so small it just didn't work right, will it be the equivilant of the origina; BOTF?

I quite liked the scale of MOO3, especially for big battles, but for small skirmishes it could be a bit smaller, some sort of zoom is good, the MOO3 zoom was bad. The ship limits of the battles were good although there was a mod that could double the armada size and battle limits, BOTF didn't have one, could just keep adding ships into a sector, hours of fun waiting for a single turn to load
The closer you want to see the ships the more detail, the more detail the more complicated the model and the more complicated the model the slower a system will run.
With Bridge Commander there aree a series of hi spec models available from modders which can be downloaded, perhaps people can make some for BOTF 2 for those who like being up close and personal with their ships, I'd be happier with less detailed ships but hundreds of them, I like my battles big
I know I'm being impatient and like a kid before christmas but can I have a little peak and ask is there any maximum ship limit for a battle?

Actually I've never had a battle with more than 500 ships - the game crashes while trying to load the battle scene.
