yup, all the info i posted is from "taking wing".
I got "the red King" yesterday, and plan to read it starting soon.

Update on the above post by myself includes.

Admiral Araar does stay on the titan, however he is acting only as a passenger. His 3 vulcan aides left before the end of the story.

Lieutenant Commander Nidani Ledrah dies at the end of the story, and Commander Xin Ra-Havreii (Designer of the titan) takes her place as chief engineer.

Lieutenant Commander Ranul Keru is injured and Commander Tuvok takes his place as Chief of security and Tactical Officer.

And finaly Mekrikuk, a Reman who asked for political asylum aboard the titan.

That updates the "known" crew to 34 of 350, and 6 passengers of 11.
Im guessing that in the 2nd novel, most of the crew/passengers named will be the known ones, but a few should be new ones here and there.

I think they are tinkering with a new movie, but as was brought up, they are waiting for Bermans contract to run out so they can do what they want with it. They are also probably keeping it quiet to build suspense and a large push when they do announce it.. that makes sense to me.

As for a new series, they probably wanna see how the movie does first.

Well, I wasnt kidding. I've read through ch. 4 so far.

Its pretty good, but tielee I would recomend you read that book I mentioned earlier Lost Era: The Sundred. Its not like you wouldnt know whats going on if you dont read it, but the story has already been referenced many times in The Red King, because its the backstory on the Neyel you'll see mentioned at the end of book 1 (it helps that the authors of the two Titan books are also the authors of The Sundred).

After receiving hundreds of entries, I'm pleased to announce the winner of the Starship Titan Design Contest: Sean Tourangeau of Colorado Springs, CO. Sean's combined score was highest in the categories of originality, execution, consistency with the U.S.S. Titan Concept Notes, and consistency with Star Trek's established Starfleet style.

Sean's design (displayed below) will be featured on the interior pages of the fourth Star Trek Titan novel, to be published in January, 2007, and will be used as the basis for cover art on that book.

The designs of the top runners-up in the competition will be posted on this site next week.

On behalf of judges Paula Block, Margaret Clark, Doug Drexler, Jennifer Heddle, Elisa Kassin, Michael Okuda, David Rossi, Edward Schlesinger, Scott Shannon, Rick Sternbach, and John Van Citters, I'd like to congratulate Sean and thank all the fans who participated in making the contest such a fun experience and such a resounding success.
