Now the first games are nearly complete regarding player slots I thing we should have a thought of the starting environment. Should this be a T1 game, which galaxy size etc.

But do we know what the MP games options will be? large, medium, small maps? what shapes of galaxys are available? randoms? borg? will the real trek map be available?
Obviously it should be a domination type game, or last man standing.
We should start from tech 1
Many minors or few?
I asked about the MP options but the person i asked said he couldnt tell me anything ans to wait and see .

Yeah, there will be the option of a canon, random or quasi-canon map.
(Canon obviously means everybody in his place as seen in the show, quasi-canon means only the majors are at their place while the minors are randomly displaced. Well... I guess you already figure what random means...)

well i would like a trek map, then at least we know all the games will be just as fair on the players as all the other games going on at the same time. I only say this because of the ranking system.
I can see that getting dull if we only play the trek map over and over but for the 1st set of games i think a trek map is perfect.

I don;t think there will be a trek map in demo release. We still have to wait and see ofcourse, and perhaps gavin has done some things to it, which he didn;t told me. But i think it will just be an option for a irregular galaxy, obviously we all hope for Spiral and stuff,

I think its best we wait for more info on the demo before we plan the games options, that is if multiplayer is released in the demo of course.

Well .. no. there aren't. But i think that we have enough information to create a realistic map, according to canon sources. Startrek: Star Charts looks excellent but has some errors in it, we can ofcourse use some of it.

LOL
From what i understand,
Canon = all Minor and Major races are in the correct Quadrants
Semi-Canon = All major races (Klingon, Feds etc) are in the correct Qaudrants but Minor races are not.
Random, = Random
I don't think the Canon map will be so specific to have say the Vulcans 2 parsecs down the road, they may as liekly start off by the Cardassians.

Of course the problem with a canon map is that around 50 percent of the known (and in reBOTF featured) races cummulate around 100 lightyears, wich is a billion's part of the galaxy. thus on a canon map the dominion has a slight discomfort because there are far less minors in their primary space.

I think the dominion is kinda cool... no nonsense klingons if you ask me... no drinking or honor, other than to please their "gods"

The game would still be better with the map as canon as possible
EDIT: Iwulff, what's happened to my Ensign rank?

Will there be the option for those not taking part to view the games? Also have we thought about running these through the site? (Is this possible)

I doubt it, TrekBoyChris. Besides, I don't think a turn based strategy game will be that exciting to watch..

If its Matress against Son Of Mogh, that'll be something to watch

But a great story about this would be excellent. Written from the perspective of the races your are playing.. With pictures and stuff like that... Would be amazing. Perhaps a section for stories?
