No. But then again, I can't explain how exactly drugs affect a human mind either.

Or how the ISS works, for that matter.

Because it goes round the Earth in an orbit extremely quickly.

I see Shatner has put his name on the first commercial space flight

Hmm fav ships for me

1. Excelsior - needs no explanation
2. Constitution refit - Started it all
3. Andorian Kumari Cruiser - looks badass
4. Vulcan D'Kyr Class ships - i.e. Seleya - concept of a circular nacelle very cool.
5. NX-01
6. The rest

I used to think the Galaxy was rather odd-looking, but after seeing it in Generations, it really grew on me. It's definitely one of my favorites now. The Excelsior has a certain majesty to it as well, and its refit also starred in the same movie.

Of course, the Akira and Steamrunner look particularly aggressive in battle. I'm partial to the Dominion Cruiser as well.

The Galaxy in Generations is a lot better than in TNG. Same goes for the Bridge

Funny you should mention that, I just finished re-watching the entire first (and only) season of SAAB. Great show :). The Hammerheads were cool and well-armed. The carriers (i.e. USS Saratoga) were cool as well.

!!!!!!!!The States Class is my Favorite Starship!!!!!!!!!

The States PT/Troop Cruiser is the first operational troop missile cruiser in Starfleet. These unique vessels have gained the respect and admiration of their crews because of their handling characteristics and offensive capabilities. The overall design came from Terran MACOS Engineering design teams to create a cruiser with photon torpedoes as its main weapons. And the main military troops number to 160. And it is first ship in starfleet to have holodeck for troop. Plus it has the only two transporters that has 80 pods each.

The teams took the old Starstalker Class secondary hull spaceframe, and Constitution II Class primary hull. These ships have so captured the heart and spirit of the Terra that the majority are crewed solely by them. All have been named for all States of Terra. The States class forms the core of all squadrons in the famed 'Beta Terra Fleet', and is an integral part of front line troop cruisers forces for Star Fleet.

The warp engines are mounted like the Starstalker Class and with Excelsior warp engines . As with all Starfleet vessels, the engines can be jettisoned in case of an overload in the matter/anti-matter chamber.

The States PT/Troop Cruisers saw great use in battles against the Klingon, Tholian, Breen and Romulan empires. The ability to saturate a target with photon torpedo fire proved an excellent way to cripple targets at range, making all the strongest cruisers and the fast transporte assault troops sufficiently so skirmish units could finish the job.

Go see my design at (http://www.geocities.com/mars_database/main.html)

I hope you like it .

Salve,

Fav Ship?

1. Galor

Has to be the Galor - it just looks great! Compact but still has the "fluidity" or grace of a stingray.
In addition I just love ships that are not the pinnacle of technology but do still more or less successfully try to cope with a situation they were not designed for. In a way the Galor is the Star Trek version of a Stug III.

Oter great Ships:

2. Vor'Cha
3. Bajoran Solar-Sail Vessel
4. Ferengi Shuttle
5. K'Vort

Drushba

@ adm_willie

All of that is true.. even that it's very well armed :D .... but VS the borg 8O ... I don't think the defiant could match a borg cube... (and don't you even think a defiant could match a tactical cube   )
