no i have the cd but when i try to play the game it says cant find the cd and it was working fine 3 hours ago now it says no cd in drive and it is there and i have xp and it worked so i need a cd-crack to make it work or get a iso copy!

I've had on and off problems with my botf cd so i just got the no cd exe...solved my problem.

Can a developer let us know when the game is going to be out (roughly)?

i actually bought botf, and still have my original. when i upgraded to win xp, the only way i could get the game to work - including with the hades 3d and the official 1.2 patches - was to get the no cd crack from gamecopyworld...

ran fine then, although i still needed the cd in the drive to play the game, it just didn't access it after the initial check.

I had to intall the XP fix (The first one) from Armadafleetcommand and had to set the compatibility mode to Windows 2000, but it was fine after that. (And still is)

I still have the original EVERYTHING of BOTF - the box, manual, jewel case, and CD. And I have absolutely no intention of losing it - or selling it.

I have absolutely no idea about a release date for the game - the demo should be out once Gavin has helped his friend.

Conspiracy theories: Very interesting. A friend of mine had one: He thought this is all nothing but a hoax. Well, I think different and I tried to convince him´, but he doens't believe. He told me of other fanmade games, which had quite longer memberlists, but didn't pop into existence. I've seen the screenshots of "Universal Evolution" and you know all what happend to this sucessor of BotF...

dunno about were you guys live but over here we have this thing called funerals. and funnily enough we tend to allow these "funerals" to take precadence over just about everything else.

I'm not going to say what is actually going through my mind now, but I will use some less colorful language. I am very ashamed of 95% of everyone on these boards. For crying out loud, Gavin lost a friend to death. Maybe some of you have no concept of what that means. But when someone dies, they are gone. This is real life people. There is no "restart" or "load saved game" or "respawning". I think we all need to get our heads out of our asses and be freak'n patient. To tell you the truth, I have a great respect for Gavin, Jig, and the other devs. If it were me, and my friend had just died and I had to listen to the Sh*t that was going on with these boards, I would call up the BOTF2 folder and press delete.

It makes me sick. It really does that we are so consumed with addiction to want a game...a GAME!!!! that we would disrespect the dead and the loss that Gavin is feeling right now.

Any chance of listing what has to be done before the demo is released? I remember reading awhile ago that you were testing each component separately, is there many left to test?

Is there a chance the people who are testing the game out could post some screenshots of a battle or a zoomed out view of the map if the game has this option but not giving to much info away on the game

It would be nice to get a screenshot a day to keep us tantalised
