Guys, we're not talking about the Galaxy class here. There is currently no info anywere on the web that states the Valdore was the 1st of her class. Additionally, just because the Federation names her classes after the first ship produced doesn't mean another race will.
According to http://www.decipher.com, who owns the rights to the ST CCG and thus anything that is made public must be confirmed by and recieve approval from Paramount, the class name is Norexan. This can also be found on the formentioned http://www.stiff.net, http://www.ditl.org, http://www.memory-alpha.org, http://www.trekwarfare.org, and numberous other sites and forums on the web.

The Defiant class was first mentioned in "Dogs Of War"DS9. Although since the Defiant was the first of the class, the class couldn't have been named anything else anyway
Nebula class was mentioned in "The Wounded" DS9
Excelsior class was given in TNG, and also in "Paradise lost" DS9, the Excelsior was obviously Excelsir class.
Nobody ever called the Defiant Escort class or heavy escort class. Ship types are entirely different things to ship classes! The Defiant is an Escort ship, but she's Defiant class, therefore a Defiant class Escort.
Just in case anyone's not familiar with either Star Trek, or ancient naval tradition. The first ship of a new class has the class name. All subsequent vessels are of that class.
The USS Galaxy was seen in "Tears Of The Prophets" DS9, she took a lot of damage, but survived as she was one of the ships waiting to help the Enterprise in Nemesis.

Based on all that, I still vote Valdore.
As SOM said, the Valdore was named onscreen, so we can't dispute that. We aren't saying the Valdore is the first of the class, and we aren't saying it IS the Valdore class. We're just saying that we'd like to call it the Valdore class for all intents and purposes of the BOTF2 'canon' game.
You have to remember, the 'canon game' will not be 110% loyal to everything that is trek - it will just be as loyal as it can be from a playability point of view. Some changes will have to be made to make it playable.
So does it really matter so much what we call it? If people don't like it, then they can mod their game! So what's the problem?
Besides, Valdore sounds more Romulany to me!

, If the game was completely canon it would probably be a lot more boring

Fine then, i'll just target...your apostrophes!
You are right though, there wouldn't be any point in having a poll with only half the options available! 8O

Yeah I think it sounds best, and in terms of Canon-ness, they both could be used, so Norexan wins on name alone

Oh well, Norexan it is then.
Like I said, it can be changed anyway, so it doesn't exactly matter too much.

Ship class != Military Designation.
As Valcoren explained in his posts, a military designation is more like the 'role' of a ship. i.e. rairder, cruiser, heavy cruiser, warbird.
A Warbird, Valcoren, is a designation just as a Cruiser is. As shown . Stop thinking like a Human! The Norexan is as much a Warbird as a D'Deridex. I even think that the 'Bird of Prey' is a designation as well. The class name of it would be the B'rel. You could probably assign the K'Vort the same designation

we are aware of the poll and I personally have no problem with the naming. I would like to see something like this though when targeting a ship that the sensors pick up on.
Class:
Military Designation:
Designation Run:
Ship Name:
