A semi-retarted duck with more hair that brain (khm. VOYAGER!) can beat the Borg with transphasic torpedos.
Seriously, those thing were invincible.
Ah, all I need is a Defiant with transphasics, and exploding Warbirds to steer her by
That's my second fav ship

Preferably,... a combination of the two
Which, you'll notice, will happen quite often in BotF2 :)

Give me a Nebula with a (new, triangular) sensor pod and I'll come back in five years with a nicely charted quadrant and a computer core full of scientific discoveries.

Plus, it's adaptable, so I could kick a$$ if I needed to, just strap on a tactical pod. Then I could host a diplomatic conference.

But I'd have to say that the co-favorite ship ever has to be the Galaxy. It is the perfect summation of Trek's values, ideals, and idea of what an explorer should be. It just never really got around to being an explorer, because of its usefulness as a capital ship. So, gauging by actual use, the Nebula is my favorite.

So without further ado, here is my list:

1. Nebula
2. Galaxy
3. Excelsior
4. Constitution refit
5. Intrepid

And with that, I'm proud to have made Lieutenant! =/\=
:D

The Galaxy is not my favorite, but I do wish to come to it's defense.

As is true of the Connie-TOS and Connie-Re, the mass of the ship is properly placed: right between the three impulse engines and near the same plane as the fore-tips of the warp nacells. (I did not believe this when I first saw the ship, but I have a plastic model I experimented upon and it turned out to be true! I was amazed.) The size of the saucer compaired to the Engineering section is pretty much necessary because of the families: you need a lot of space for families (which I always thought were a bad idea, but it seems they wanted it for plot reasons) and making a saucer a little larger greatly increases volume, especially with the sizes we're talking about. But the masses work, it had to be squashed fore-&-aft. And yet, with the saucer separated, close to the same mass rules had to apply the engineering section! Amazingly, it does: the single impulse drive is in the right place and, though the center of mass is no longer at the for-tips of the nacells, it is about the same plane as where the warp coils would start - probably close enough. (Again, I was truly amazed at this discovery. It has a lot to do with the compactness of the engineering hull where it connects to the saucer.) As to the curves, those curved surfaces are far stronger than the angles of the Connies or the Excellcior! And though I wouldn't say they're perfect, eye-sweet curves, I would not say they're horrifically unattractive. And when you consider the engineering challenges involved in making such an HUGE ship that could come apart into two pieces, I'd say they made a wonderful compromise between beauty and engineering.

I gave my opinions as to my favorites before... I'll see if I can find them... sometime later.
