I think it doesn't matter.........you can chance the name later and it doesn't make the game lesser .........still I think it should be Valdore.

Well it's been two days, Jig.
The Norexan is the most popular vote, so Norexan it is.
One thing though, there's so far only been 50-odd votes. Considering there are 1324 people signed up to the site, I would have thought there might have been more votes than that, to be honest.
Of course, it is up to people to decide if they wanna vote on stuff, but perhaps people would be more inclined to vote if they were physically told about?
So maybe whenever 'important' polls such as this one are made, there could be an announcement on the site's homepage, or possibly even a mass email or something?
I'm sure that would get more people voting...not that i'm criticising the way you do things or anything, just a simple suggestion...

I think a lot of people have just signed up so they can download the game. How many of us actually post?

Some ppl just sign up for once and never return till the game is released,
other ppl (like me) are just lurking the forums sometimes posting a single message and voting but nothing more.
And there are ppl who love posting and getting involved in everything.

They just come on the site twice: Once to sign up, Once to download the game. That's how it seems anyway

Lol we should be evil and ban them from downloading the game until they bother to post!
Na, the forums are open for people to decide what they want to do. They can't be forced into doing stuff. It's just a shame they don't take a more active role, that's all.
They could help to shape the game, if they just bothered to vote...

those 50 odd votes came from the people that support the board, so imo those 50 votes count as gold compared to just the people that want nothing to do with the community, and just want the game.

Well, you don't have to. But then you never really enjoy the game or you get bored quickly

Really? Had no idea.
Anyway, more people will play the same game if it has the characters and plot they like. You can make the best Babylon5 strategy, but if you don't like the general idea of the show, you won't really be interested in it... Just stating the obvious

That's an affliction that seems to be with Trek in general at the moment - there's a stigma with liking Trek.
A lot of people that might actually like it if they just sat down and watched it, shun it because of what their friends say, or they think their friends will say.
The fact that Enterprise was a ratings flop means that some trekkies themselves have also begun questioning the franchise.
If you know/think you're gonna like something, you'll watch it. If you know/think you won't like it, you won't watch it. You can't force people to watch trek in the hopes they will like it, if anything, that will do the opposite.
People are entitled to their own opinions - even if those opinions are wrong.
...
Jig, you haven't posted yet, is it final that the ship will be the Norexan class then, or have you extended the poll or something?
