While it is true there is nothing to prove or disprove them.... it is always more interesting to investigate and speculate about them rather than just shut them out and say they don't excist. :

There are already 4 dimensions that we know of with 3 degrees of freedom. We can move in 3 dimensions we simply call 'space'. The timespace (4th dimension) we do experience, but us mere humans do not have the ability to move through that dimension.
I find it a bit arrogant to say that we humans can experience everything there is to experience. Therefore, I believe there are more dimensions we cannot experience. It is possible that there exist beings that can move in 4 dimensions and perhaps those beings experience a 5th dimension which is linear to them.

Call me a dreamer (and you are probably right!) or someone who watched too much Star Trek (then you are surely right), but I tend to believe there is more to this universe than we can experience or observe.

I will not call you crazy since that is basicaly what I believe as well. That the thing we call 'heaven' is nothing more than another dimension which we can't experience (yet...) But we do not want to turn this discussion that way again, now will we

So, why do you think 'time' doesn't fit the word dimension?
A dimension is nothing more than another word for 'axis'. You can describe an object in space with an x-, y-, and z-axis (thus, three dimensions). Now, since different objects can occupy the same space (only not during the same time), we need another axis (another dimension) for a full description. This will be the t-axis, or "time dimension" which describes when an object occupies said space.

Yes i can understand your reasoning. yet i still don't see why time has anything to do with dimensions. It's just height, width and depth. You don't know what time does, it's not a solid value that you can use for a dimension.

i always thought enterprise was bad because it wrecked the original cannon of star trek.

I have a encyclopedia and it says the war with the romulans started in 2156 but first contact with kligons was on 2218 after the united fedartion of planets was made and the storyline of enterprise dose not stick to this. Thats one of the reasons i dont like enterprise that much!

all u people here are trekies look at what happen too the show from others point of view.
the show had too few stand alones it turned in too a soap oprea with a complex story that would hurt u bad if u missed one show .
the other networks were kicking upns rear at that time slot with stuff like
American Idol and SmallVille , which Ent could not compeat with as far as the new star trek fans, if the show would have had more stand alones and not the soap and a Diff time slot it mabi could have gotten better rateings.

The technology wasn't the bigist problem .......but it loked moore advanced than at TOS ......(I mean look the daedalus....It looks more like Cocranes upgraded warp vessel) What I realy hated was that the enterprice looked more like the Akira and it was caled The NX Enterprise........How many Enterprices do we have :

Enterprise, NX class
Enterprise, Constitution class
Enterprise A, Constitution revit class
Enterprise B, Excelsior revit class
Enterprise C, Ambassedor class
Enterprise D, Galaxy class
Enterprise E, Sovereign class

7 enterprise's 8O (Not counting the revit of the contitution)...........Could'nt they make a serie of another ship Like the USS Voyager for example.....I already thougt we had to many enterprise's........

I agree with Centurion_VarDin that the music was GREAT!!!.....they could'nt take a better song! This song fits just great with the picture's

I almost mentioned those episodes--I really liked the fact that they went into that level of detail and totally replaced the entire intro. Those episodes were very well done. I think the thing that surprised me the most about Enterprise being cancelled was that the news broke right after a string of their best episodes. Just when the show started to take a great new direction, they pulled the plug. Pity .

actually, i didn't mind the show, it was certainly better than the constant suckfest that was voyager...

probs with ENT? there were a few...

- the writers made it up as they went along, and had absolutely no idea where they wanted to go with the series. such an approach leads to significant plot holes, and general all round confusion. you can't introduce a plotline like the temporal cold war - which was supposed to be the theme for the entire series run - and not know where you want to go with it. berman and braga both admitted they had no idea who future guy was. they were just making it up as they went along.

- scott bakula. great actor, **** captain archer. he never really nailed the role. whether that was more down to poor writing, or just bakula not quite coming to grips with the character, who knows. given how talented bakula is (i've seen some great performances from him in a couple of smaller movies as well as of course, quantum leap), blaming the writing seems to be the easy way to go.

- the first two seasons sucked. and i mean hard. there were a couple of absolute gems in there (cogenitor is a great example), but after the rampant decline in ratings towards the end of voyager, as well as that shows disastruous 7th season, ent had to start well, or else it was doomed. it didn't. fans thought "here comes more bermaga crap a la voyager, this sucks, i'm not watching it, and whenever anyone asks, i'll say it sucks." thus the negative vibe spread like wildfire on the net. parading jolene blalock around in a skin tight catsuit screamed 'more voyager' as well after they were doing the same thing to jeri ryan for the previous four years.

- disrespecting continuity. i think this one is waaaaaaaaaaaaay too overblown. but there's no doubt how certain fans reacted to the tiniest of details. you go to the startrek.com messageboards and look through some older threads... they were bonkers.

i think the show copped far more flak than it deserved. again, using the official sites bbs as an example, there are pages, PAGES, of threads dedicated to slagging off the theme song that starts the show. i mean, really, who gives a toss about a theme song ffs. yes it was annoying after like the second playing of it, but it didn't affect the overall show one iota. there were a lot of people who decided before it hit the airwaves that it was going to suck, and that was all there was to it.
