As alot of people know ive been one of the huge critics of pretty much everything on this site, the lack of information, the PR, screenshots etc etc, but i have to say after i read this posted by jiggy i think it was:
" now some good news, gavin has cleared a week next month to concentrate fully on the game, so we should have a release ready quite soon."
If this is true, which im sure it is, i just want to give a big THANK YOU to Gavin, jusy out of uni and been in work for only a few months i know how precious free time and holidays are to us all. For Gavin to take a week off to dedicate to the game i think is great, and i have the upmost respect for what he has decided to do. Thats a week he could have taken off for a holiday or just used to get some time off over the year, for him to do this just for the game, i think is amazing and i think we all owe him a big thank you and alot of respect for using holidays to get this game done.
Its apreciated Gavin and i'll pint you a pint or 5 if i ever meet you!
Cheers

Good post. Hopefully we may get the update on his progress soon.
Civilisation 4 is out on Friday as well. Strategy Overload.
Oh, and Carrott, I'm sure Gavin will appreciate more being bought a pint, than pinted one.

This is my first time posting to the forums. And from what I've read and listen to in gavin's interview, BoTf 2 is certinly shapeing up to be an Excellent game. So I too, would like to thank Gavin and all the other people who have contributed to this project. I know I am wiiling to wait till Christmas, our even new years for Botf 2.
I remeber people saying that BOTF was like Civilizations expect in the Star Trek universe. I say accept no imitations, only Birth of the Federation

Why not set up a PayPal account for the project? I'm sure some of us wouldn't mind making some donations.

I'd be more than happy to "donate" $30.00 CDN or so when the game is released. Who gets what, how it is divided up, exactly, is up to you developers.
I'm more than happy to pay for software.
Paypal sounds like a good way to facilitate those donations.
