OK, I might consider doing one bathroom like that, but an entire flat? Who has that kind of free time or social ineptitude?
...the kitchen is pretty sweet, though.

So when (and if) this guy gets a lady to come back to his flat, what do you suppose she thinks?

"Plastic...tacky...
Talking house...frightening...
Guy who has too much time and money on his hands AND is willing to redecorate the entire house...jackpot!"
Something along those lines I bet.

It would be great to have such a kitchen but the intire house??!! And why should you do that kind of thing.....turning your house to a federation starship? It looks funny but if I should live there It would feel to me.........far from home

I agree, the kitchen isn't bad. However, I think I'd rather just turn my guestroom into a functional holodeck. Except then I'd never leave the house...

this flat was put on the movie Trekkes2 in 2003 if I remember correctly. the guys said he put in almost 500.000$ in the project. I like ST but not that much. I could have found other things to invest in with that kind of money. He was offered 3 millon US dollars for the place back when that show aired.

Lol, years back i was in a star trek fan club.
Somewhere in the newsletter i saw something about a trek family that did that with their family van.
Even had NCC numbers on the side.

I think he has crossed the boarder between a Star Trek Fan and a mad man. That's why many people have got such a bad images of Star Trek fans, some of us are doing too much and think only about Star Trek. (I felt very uncomfortable in a Star Trek Club with people like that, I like Star Trek because of its ideas and a little bit because of the design etc. But those people are the different way round.

I mean most of us here would regard ourselves as fans if not hardcore fans but that just goes OTT

If you ever felt like a dork for liking ST, watch Trekkies 1 or 2. As long as you arent OTT, It will make you feel so much better about yourself.
