Heads up guy's, Reinstalled my BOTF today because it was acting nutty, i run eTrust pest patrol along side my anti v, now pest patrol is designed to detect nasty malware that most anti virus's miss and i only have it running while surfing the web and downloading p2p, which i was doing this time, when i was installing the hades3d patch, my pest patrol went barmy and informed me that hades3d is infected with win32.IRCflood which is a back door IRC trojan,

this should help or just google it.

did i just get pooh pooh'd? ya cant ignore a pooh pooh because if you ignore one pooh pooh next thing you know it leads to more pooh pooh's and before you know it everybody will be pooh poohing you!. ya i know theres a possibility it could be a falsie and i hope it is, nothing in life is certain. been installing lotsa botf mods n its the only one that triggered it so i thought id give everyone a heads up just in case it wasnt a false reading. better safe than sorry i say and this "possible" trojan is evil it creates a hidden admin account accessable remotely through irc then deletes itself. or it could be my pest patrol having a laugh.

according to my research it's the compression utility that was used to pack it thats infected, as you can see BOTH my anti virus and my pest patrol detected it and they are both unrelated programmes. thing is people wouldnt know they were infected till a long time after installing and by unrelated virus's. check the boards for how many people have had to reinstall botf due to the pc bein messed up bad. lol i feel like that mad scientists trying to warn everybody the world is doooooooomed......

oh! forgot to mention i scanned the file before i opened it and detected nothing, anti virus WILL NOT detect it, you have to have an active protection anti spyware/malware running in the background then open the package and click the archive where it gives you the file path installation screen, dont click next just leave it, pest patrol is a premium proggy and not free and pc guard i got from blueyonder at full access for being a premium suck... errr customer.
