Oh, you reinstalled it, trekBoy? Make sure you entered the right info... 8O
I'm looking at finishing my current unit a week sunday - IF I leave the computer on permanently until then!
58mins a frame!
I'm doing p1140_RIBO_FSpeptide (Gromacs) - it's 250 frames.

Well it would be nice to add the current one coz of the Romulan text, although the last one took me ages to animate your name properly...
Why do I bother...? ()

Once we hit about 90k total team points, we'll finally start to show up http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ . It's the only stats place I know of (hardfolding tracks only the top 1k, and statsman.info seems to have died), but they only track teams in the top 2000 slots, and 90k is roughly what we'll need. Once we're there, we can see all kinds of interesting data on who's folding how much, etc.
I've got no idea what our total points per day is, but we've already got almost 20k, so.. maybe a month?

hey i appreciate your work, but i will change my avatar based on mood or whatnot, and its not fair to ask you to keep changing the image based on my moodiness
always remember, without you doing the team avatar we are a faceless people
but yes i think you should put my latest one in. p.s - its says 'silvercliff' from the bottom up, apparently thats how romulan text is written.

Extreme Overclocking is great for stats, however you have to be in the top 2000 teams to be listed. Once there we can view stats on each member and how many points they'll have at a certain date. When we'll overtake other teams and how long it'll take at our current prodection rate.

We'll still need at least 4,930,670 points to make into the top 100 on the folding@home site though! 8O
Wonder how long that'll take...?
What has this extremeoverclocking.com website got to do with folding@home though? Shouldn't we only care about the stats on the folding@home site?
...
Silvercliff, do you want your avatar 'plain' as it is, or do you want me to add your name in? (In English )

Extreme Overclocking has a hell of a lot more Folding Stats on than the Folding site. And it is fully updated every hour like (some) of the official site.
We only need 90,000 to make it into the top 2000 though and then we'll know exactly how long till we get to No. 1 - as if

I noticed some of the teams once you get around 2000 are relatively dead anyway -- a Pentium II computer could outproduce them. They're there simply due to past points earned, not current production levels.
Sites like that one take the stats made available from Stanford, and.. actually make them interesting. They compare stats reported over time to get production averages, total team production averages, etc, so that you can see when you'll overtake other members and other teams. Competition!
We'll need at least a thousand active members to have a shot at the top two within our lifetimes... but we're still contributing, and still passing other teams on our rise upwards!
On another note, this thread has become one of those threads I see with 10+ pages that I've either read incrementally from the start or never, ever read otherwise 'cause I dont want to wade through a book just to be up to date by the end of the last post I doubt i'm the only one that would look at the thread, and think it might be interesting, but wouldn't touch a 15 page long thread. If anything major comes up, might want to start a new thread if it can be justified? I'd start a couple with setup-guides, maybe a mini-FAQ or something, but I'll wait for that. Rather not rush to stick my neck out and then receive rage from mods for making a bunch of new threads

Now, now children, play nicely! (I'm doing better than both of you anyway! )
Ringold, if anything important comes up, than just make a thrwad for it. I'm sure the devs won't mind. If you're that worried about it, then send them a PM - even Jigalypuff can - and does - reply to such things.
...
Silvercliff, i've had an idea for your avatar, but it'll take me a few days to sort out. It'll be quite cool if it does work though.

It doesn't matter TrekBoy - at least you're doing something.

Like Captain Billy Bacon said, if we got more folders, the rest will just happen -- agreed!
and "Current No 1 Folder" ... I hope that doesn't last long, or if it does, then at least a few people breath down my neck. I might be dethrowned, but it' be good for the team!
I know someone on this forum has more power then I could muster, probably several too, so I figure its just a matter of time until they join the team, and then just a matter of time until the gap closes..
I do see some battles shaping up for the top 5 already though!

...But I have just the one...
Raiden, pretty much the same thing has happened to me. Its something that you just can't avoid - well, not until they make computers perfect.
Luckily, such events are rare though, so fingers crossed it won't happen again.
...
Trekkie2114, s'ok, don't worry about it. I rather like making the avatar, actually.
...
Silvercliff, my idea failed. I had planned on making your Romulan lettering "morph" into english letters, but the lettering is too small for any noticable effects to occur - and if I make the text bigger, it ends up blocky and ugly. (And it wouldn't fit into the avatar properly anyway)
Oh well, you'll have to have plain text like the others...if you want to, of course...
