Ok... I was MIA for just over a week - and what a fracking week it's been. Settlement on our house came through much sooner than we expected, so I've spent the week before christmas moving house. Not fun. This also led to a week without the internet as I had to wait for Telstra to reprovision my ADSL line. Combine all of that with the whole family catching cold - in the middle of summer ffs - and when a fifteen month old gets the cold... well... it ain't fun either.

Soooooooooo... in a period of time when I was hoping to roll off three scripts, I have added precisely one act to the next script and bugger all else has been done on the Illustrious front.

Colione - Got the continuity sheet. Superb work. Absolutely superb. There's only one or two errors that I noticed, and given what you were doing that was absolutely remarkable in itself. Keeping that thing regularly updated is going to make my life soooooo much easier.

I do really want to get this second season finished by the end of January, given that the in-laws are coming to town for three weeks at that time, but these latest delays are seriously putting paid to those hopes...

Its perfectly understandable that you haven't managed to make anymore episodes. To be honest, when I heard you say you would do 3 or 4 by crimbo, I doubted it straight away.

Anyways, it is good news that your're back now. I've actually been getting a fix of Trek fanfics from another source anyway!

Zahadoom posted links to an uber-fanfic that merges the worlds of Battlestar Galactica, and Star Trek. The Q feature quite heavily in it, and there are many references to Babylon 5 and Stargate as well.

It currently spans four books, and apparently isn't even finished yet! (I've been reading it almost non-stop for the past week and i'm only on book three! 8O I hope they finish it before I get to the end...)

The storyline even "explains" many mysteries in Trek, for example the Enterprise-C incident or Unimatrix Zero. There are characters from Voyager, DS9, and TNG included, and they've created many more characters to support them.

There have been loads of ships and new technologies (Thanks to the Colonials and Voyager) and the battles...lets just say if they were made into "real" onscreen battles, there would be so much eye candy that your eyeballs would fry! 8O

Coz they're on fanfiction, remember that the stories are split into chapters which are put on separate pages - don't make the same mistake that I made and read chapter one of book 1, chapter one of book 2, and chapter one of book 3!

reading through them now, dont think there that good, only cause they have the old bsg in it. which is a shame....

I really liked the old Battlestar Galactica, but i've never seen the new one so I can't compare them.

You have to think about when the fanfics were written though - if you read the comments, it was first posted before Nemesis was even on the cards - so the new BSG wasn't even a twinkle in the creators' eyes.

I can't wait for the fanfic to be completed, anyway, although I also don't want it to end...

I was reading that series.. It's a HUGE crossover series... I wasn't to familiar with all the characters, but it's a very heavy reading. I finished the last chapter, and am watering at the mouth for the next one, just like Illustrious
