Ok, after the suggestions (Thank You Everyone!) here's the revised list:

Case: Thermaltake Black Kandalf VA9000
Mobo: Asus A8N 32-SLI-Deluxe (I want to keep full 16x SLI mode available and overclocking is not something I trust myself doing)
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 FX-60 Dual Core
RAM: 2GB DDR400 Dual Channel (and I'll upgrade when I need to)
Hard Drive: 500GB Seagate
Moniter: 19" LG 1980Q
Sound Card: Sound Blaser X-Fi Platinum (integrated sound is not something I can work with for reasons of needing high quality recording capabilities. Not like I'm getting top-of-the-line stuff here, just good quality)
Speakers: Logitech Z5500 5 Speaker Surround
Video Cards: One GeForce 7800 GTX 512MB (I'll add another when games start needing 1GB of Video RAM I guess, lol)
Keyboard and Mouse: Logitech MX5000 Bluetooth Wireless Mouse and Keyboard
Cooling: Kingwin Arctic Liquid Cooler
Power: Enermax 600W

So, how does that look?

Not sure if I'm gonna go with Win XP Media Center or wait until Vista comes out. I'll probably go with XP Media Center though. Any thoughts?

(Edit: changed power supply to an Enermax unit as suggested by Skeeter)

Never heard of xion power supply. Get one of these instead. Enermax/akasa/hiper/seasonic. Any of them will be good.

Btw if you plan on wanting win media edition operating system you really need a tv card or somit to get live tv on ur computer from ariel. Otherwise kinda pointless i reckon. Music can be done in winamp or wmp program or soundcards remote stuff.

ok, changed the power supply to an 600W Enermax unit, slightly more expensive but I guess it's good quality stuff.

I thought XP Media Center is required to communicate with the X-Box 360, right?
That's my reason for getting it. If that's not true I'll just get Pro, but I want to be able to sync my music wtih my 360.

Live TV from Ariel? What is Ariel?

Dont think u need media center edition for xbox 360. Any xp should do as long as you get the software and connection with cable done.

Any XP will work for pictures and music, but for video, you do need WMC, or a media extender.

plus

you can listen to music while playing games :)

Right, and there's no disadvantage to getting WMC rather than Pro right? They're the same price...

I <almost> ended up having the same monitor as you, WhiteRaven. My dad works for LG and can get monitors for cheap, but they were sold out of that particular model so I opted for a cheap 17" one from Aldi instead.

I know it sounds like a bit of a comedown, but you can't go wrong with a flatscreen for only 130 quid - it's got good stats too.

For listening to music, I use Sonique 1.96. I can't stand the all-new Sonique version 2, and it's damn hard trying to get copies of Sonique 1.96 now, but guess who has one?

I can watch TV on my computer as well. I've only got a tiny indoor Ariel connected to my computer at the moment, so I can only just about get a picture on ITV. Only one channel!

I use AverTV Go 007 Plus to watch the TV on my computer, but since the picture is so bad, there's no point. Still, I can also use the program to listen to the radio, so I still run it.

Shameless Welsh plug: 97.4 and 103.2 Red Dragon FM!

dude, you do know that the onboard sound card for the A8N series is 8.1 right? you're wasting your money buying a sound card for this rig. I've got an A8N Sli Deluxe powering my rig, the sound card rooooocks...

Onboard sound is never as good as dedicated card sound. Doesn't matter if its 8.1 and has eax its still gone slow the computer down compared to you using a dedicated card. True i supose it wont slolw a fx 60 down but it can cause problems alot of the times.

that maybe true, but buying a sound card for a mobo with an onboard can cause conflicts - admittedly you don't have to be a genius to resolve the conflicts, it's simply a matter of setting the mobo up correctly at installation...

and as you said, given the processor and memory he's looking at, performace won't be an issue with the onboard card imo. and as far as i can tell, there is no difference in quality.

Even so as i said onboard can still cause problems and its always recomended to use dedicated. Easy to disable onboard on bios if u know how.

I've actually never had conflict or any other problems with the one I have now. I have a SB Live 5.1 card and onboard Realtek AC'97 on my current mobo with no problems. All I have done is disabled the onboard sound in BIOS.
