I must say I'm impressed that the whole download for this is just 6mb!

I for one couldn't care less if the download for the game was 4gigs but never the less, your programming efficiency is something to admire :)

I suppose the only small nit picking I have to do is with the font, it looks great but for some reason the capital "A" doesn't seem to properly align with the letters before and after it. Kinda throws the look of the word off a little, no big deal though.

Overall looking good, keep up the great work :)

looking great. nice to see the progress. very clean sleek look.

Cant wait for the screen to actually have something in it :)

although i do prefer the main menu background from the first gui.

If you prefer the older files, all you have to do is replace the file called newgame.pcx with the old intro.pcx (Obviously you have to rename it to newgame.pcx)

If you haven't got the older files anymore, then let me know your email address, and i'll send it to you.

the one in the first gui is the splash screen not the intro screen map, don`t panic though, the one in place is just temporary a better one will appear.

Yeah, it was down for about two days or so.

I mentioned it to Jig and he didn't know why it was down either, so it must have been something to do with the parent site, armadafleetcommand.

upgrades are always nice.

Out of curiousity are there any other sites hosted by ArmadaFleetCommand other than Botf, Botf2, and Armada?

I knew you were working on an update, Jig!

Just a nit-pick here, but since that's a different menu, perhaps the numbers on the interface should be changed?

The "Menu - 1209" and "RCM - 2005" bits are the same as the ones in the main menu screen.

Like I said though, nit-pick. :P

I can't wait for the next update.

most of the interface pics i`m useing are placeholders untill silvercliff gets the rest done, i`m just cutting and pasting bits and pieces in for the moment. by the weekend i will have the full fed shiplist into the science screen so you`ll be able to see all fed meshs rotateing on screen.

Jig i know you'll slate me for this but that's f**king brilliant :P . I know there's been a lot of hard work behind the scenes and hopefully this'll silence any remaining doubters. The game will be completed :D

Also because of this are you comming back as a dev to the project or not at the moment?

TBC

No reason to slate you, you blanked out most of the letters in that word which incidently i do not happen to know at all
as for coming back, at the moment i`m considering it.

I've gota say the progress (updates to site) over last week or so have been fantastic, just what everyone needed to see and probably more!.

Looking forward to next installments and a big "woot" to everyone involved for some pretty amazing work.

Im sure there will be a few professional game developers feeling a little deflated with their efforts when this game is completed.

Well now that Jig's told us his plans for the Galactic map, this game will be the best thing since sliced bread...or BOTF...whichever came first... :P

Heh...all 3 Enterprises? That won't be a very common sight in the game... :P

The scaling looks fine, Jig - except the Sovereign seems a bit...small. It's practically the same size as the Connie - unless it is the perspective - otherwise shouldn't it be roughly twice as long?

It would also be great if the Earth could be even bigger, but if that's as big as it will go without problems, then it's fine by me.

...

I've filled in the bottom and side boxes of the screen in solid black, Jig. It means the viewable screen is the same size as it would be when completed, and I think it looks a bit better that way.

If you want the file, so you don't have to colour it in yourself, let me know.
