Well perhaps a new forum would be a good idea?
It would certainly help to differentiate between the two projects, and it would make life easier for any newbies to the forums.
I personally like the crap posts as well though.
Whether that's coz i'm often the cause of it though is another matter...

Well what about REbirth of the Federation as a name?
For any newbies here, that was one of the titles of Gavin's game that was being batted around when I first joined the site - or so I thought.
SOM set me straight on that though.
Na, New Beginnings is a good name, and afterall, it IS an appropriate title...

To my knowledge, C-script is not a standard language, and is not the same as C++.
What the hell was Gavin doing developing in VB? That language just leaves me cold, and VB.NET is just plain pointless because C# is better supported and infinitely superior. I'm of the opinion that if it doesn't have curly braces and semicolons, then it isn't a real programming language . OK, any Python programmers can start flaming me now.

Well, since we were on the topic of the Game GUI... anyone want to give me their opinion on something? This is just a prototype--it's functional, but it doesn't display any stats other than the stars and types/sizes of planets. Everything else is just placeholders. Still, not bad for 48 hours work...
Note: you can click for a (much) larger version
The galaxy generator tends to create a somewhat disporportionate number of black holes, pulsars, etc. I've only been working on this game since January, so everything is still very rough. Credit for both the small and large star images goes to Silvercliff.
