Has anyone tried Hamachi and knows whether it works well, or with no port forwarding?

never heard of Hamachi.

but, since im a nice guy, il help cdrwolfe.

you need to do the following

A) get the right updates/patches

B) go to http://www.portforward.com and get the instructions to forward the right ports. You need all the MSN gaming zone ports, as well as MSN Zone Direct X ports (i think)

but then... ive never gotten a game working online - although im open all the time.

-edit-

just checked out Hamachi, and it looks awesome, so im using it now.

MSN gaming zone no longer supports "direct ip" cd rom games as i tryed before and just has the odd few games now such as aoe2 etc..

So either use Kali gaming browser (like gamespy) for older games. Or use a lan tool like "GIT" or "hichamachi" or however its spelled.

think it does for some games, or you have to forward one port and it just tunnels it or something. It works for StarCraft without forwarding anyports, but it doesnt work with Risk 2. Thats all I know, and im quite happy. For instance, im on vacation, and im streaming all my music over hamachi from my desktop at home, onething i couldnt do before. Also, ive got all my ISOs remotly mounted, so I can play all my games without having the disk with me.

if you guys wanna join my network, give me a call.
