To my knowledge, it won't be like that. Your ships weaponry will be fixed, just like it is in BOTF.
If you want to have an Oberth firing Pulses and a Sovereign armed with Phase canons, you'll have to mod the game yourself - or wait for someone else to make such a mod.
So it will be possible, it just won't be in the official game.

CBB is used to play StarFleet Command III :  (in that game you can equipe ships with anything you can get youre hands on).

I didnt know that Genesis probe was a weapon. Is it???
I thought it was used for terraforming.
But no one from developers told us will Defiant Class ships have pulse phasers or not. So basicly its not official, yet.

Maybe we'r fine with the pulse, what do you think?
150 diferent weapons.... Huh... Thats going to be one heck of the job!
Im happy that we even have pulse phasers! You should be to! :)
