After years of going back and forth, I finally decided to type up some of my work that's been sitting in a notebook. So far, I've only posted the opening scene for an entirely new series taking place in the Star Trek universe, available here:

I'm interested in hearing what people think about this, whether it seems interesting, boring, whatever you would care to share. Granted it's only the opening, and several of the major characters aren't even in it, but it does give a taste of both my style of writing and the new galaxy.

I've posted the second chapter, which gives a more personal look at the crew members when they're not being shot at.

that was a cool scene. Remember what I always say "If someone thinks startrek is lame, force them to watch First Contact."

There is a great deal of background to the story, but that's all delved into in future scenes which I'm already working on typing out. Doing so, unfortunatly, takes a lot of time since most of what I wrote is scattered throughout various notebooks over the course of several years. Even when I find something, I have to do a lot of editing and sometimes rewriting as some of this was written back in high school. The basic setting, if that helps at all, is approximately the year 2520 or 30 (I haven't decided EXACTLY which one I want), in the aftermath of a great war (as you can tell just by reading the intro). Given that, no the character of Lt. Cmdr. Hawk is not the guy from "First Contact," I just liked the last name. There are other, more familiar names which will also appear throughout the course of the stories, and even a few old characters returning to play out certain plots.
