Anyone here use either of these programs?

FYI they are voice over IP programs. Very handy when playing BOTF. Less typing more direct coversation. :P

I'm assuming you mean Skype when you put "Kype"?

I've got Skype - but I've only used it once and I couldn't get anyone to hear me, even though I could hear Jig and everyone else! (That was an error on my part though - it helps when you bother to turn your microphone on!)

We originally intended to use teamspeak, but it was too much hassle, (Or something like that) so we opted for Skype instead.

lol.

the people I play with dont scream. We are nice and organized, since we use it for a LOT of strategizing ingame.

however, it is tons of fun to get into a WoW server, and piss them off. I only do it with a few friends, and man we laugh our asses off.

I use Skype between 3 and 6 hours a day when I'm not at work. IMO Skype is a better replacement for actual phone calls since its actually a point to point protocol over a peer-managed network. Teamspeak, battlecome, etc. all require a server & client architechture ... the advantage is better performance during FPS on-line gaming, the disadvantage is that you can only talk to folks logged into the same server.

In summary,

Skype: Better for calling.
Teamspeak: Better for on-line gaming.
