Problems with an old CPU

If you read my plea in the F@H thread you'll know i've just purchased a couple of cpu's off ebay. Well one of them an old Pentium Pro arrived this afternoon. Strangely though it had a piece of foil stuck over the top of the cpu where the logo is located....

The foil is stuck on by some form of glue and i can't see a way of removing it. I'm NOT using the cpu in a pc (just for show) so if anyone has any idea on how to remove it i'd be very greatful.
