A new star trek film? I really would like to see the franchaise be given a long good hitas for a while, I won't say all episodes of star trek were great but since the latter half of DS9 (Am I the only one who sees Kiera and her endless 'I use to be part of the reistance' to be unbelievable and that Jake hanging around in a dominion occupied space station without restrain a TAD unrealistic, and don't get me started on enterprise) I'm not asking for a another revamped battlestar galactica where its solid on few episodes then does some absurd scenarios, have none existant security, endless camera zoomins and a candy girl while angst is driven over board. All I'm asking is that they give pause, create races that for once aren't humans with cold sore on their noses, create more genuine cultures like the Klingons) and create some manner of conflict internal/poltical with a manner of lasting consequence.

Can war actually mean hell for once! And can other then earth be targeted. I always assumed Vulcan was more important to the Federation.

What I hated about nemesis is that they had a typical 'evil' race who didn't come out till the light dimmed etc and for some reason endure a sub plot with Data that didn't take off. It got poor results in return (but then some bright spark thought it would be a great idea to pit star trek against LORD OF THE RINGS!)

I really would like a new film/series that would be based after the Dominion war, no more going back in time or time travel, it seem to become a pointless plot device when apprently the Federation is threatned with destruction but the episode before you met the guy from 30th century starfleet! To know ahead kills the challenge beforehand, why worry failing if you know your going to win anyway? Can we just move on without time travel.
