both my planets on each account are m class, need to find what i need to colonise other planets in my systems, only at pig iron level 8,9 and need more

Apparently you need colony ships to be able to colonise other planets, but I haven't got a clue how you get them - there's no mention of it in the help info.

I can't find any hint of info that your fleets are in orbit, Stumpy. There is no mention of this anywhere in my account as far as I can see.

In the last combat report, I was told he had 1620 Attack, 1288 Defense. Got a big enough Fleet, Stumpy?

Hey i just started x-wars and i was wondering if i could join your alliance.

Ok, a quick explanation of colonization. This is what I've pulled together from the forums, since I found a nice little planet I want to colonize.

In order to colonize a planet, you need to first have a ship equipped with the colonization module. From what I'm told, this won't fit on a light fuselage, so you NEED to have at least medium level ships (unlocked by Ship Factory level 8 and Ship Construction level 5). To unlock the colonization module, you need to have Headquarter level 10 and Construction Central level 15 (the only real reason I'm bothering with the Construction Central at all for the moment).

The alternative to researching and building a ship yourself is finding someone willing to sell/donate one to you. Donation is unlikely since the build time on colony ships is so long, and they seem to be wickedly expensive. If you don't have the resources to build one, it looks like there's a good chance you won't have the resources to buy one. Also keep in mind that some ships have certain requirements, so even if you could buy it you might not be able to use it until you meet those requirements. (Say you scrape together resources to buy a colony ship, but that particular design requires the user to have ship construction level 10 or something, but you've only got level 3. Until you reach level 10, the ship will just sit in orbit or something.) Check with your dealer before buying to make sure you don't have a nasty surprise. Also be aware that it seems the ships need to travel to your system under their own power. They are NOT shipped through the Trade Center like resources. This means that if you buy a nuclear powered colony ship from someone in a different galaxy, you're going to be waiting a LOOOOOONG time for delivery. Also, some dealers charge differently for the fuel costs of scanning your system (so that the trade can first happen) and of actually sending the ship. In past versions, I guess it was possible to buy colony ships from the Trading Post, but this feature has apparently been removed.

Once you get the colony ship itself, then you can send it to a planet via the "Fleets" tab with the order "colonize." You can colonize one additional planet without having to research Colony Administration (unlocked by Research Central level 15). This would mean that, in total, you have your home world plus 1 colony world. For each world after that you want added to your empire, you need to have one additional level of Colony Administration researched (level 0 lets you have 1 colony for a total of 2 planets, level 1 allows 2 colonies for a total of 3 planets, and so on).

I hope that makes sense. It's longer than what I'd planned to post, but oh well.

And, Matress, just try to keep a supply of fuel--frurwhateverthehellitis--on hand. I have two potential solutions, and one of them will certainly cost a decent amount of it.

Don't worry about resources. Just let me know what I need, and i'll scrape it together.

As far as I know I haven't got camoflage technology either! Maybe its default in the game so they dont get attacked on the way over to you! Im not sure. i havent read up on the game at all yet. Been to busy. Im litrally just building non stop!

Does any one need crystals!? I have about 40,000 which im not using and they keep growing! Could use some pig iron or frurozin. (obviously not expecting you to send me the same quantity in return. I'll be generous!)

Edit: Just look on the boards and apparantly when i clicked on defense, they'll be no good as using this option im still in control but i dont know how to command them to attack this other guy, so i've sent you another fleet now, and I've chosen the 'transfer' option so you should be in control of the fleet i've sent you! You just have to wait 5 hours.....

Sorry, I don't have much at all to spare right now. I'm trying to hurry my standing up to medium-sized ships since I really want to claim a colony world before someone else does. All I really need is to keep upgrading my ship factory since I have everything else, but that eats iron and frur like mad.

Matress, I need you to send battle reports. I haven't had any myself yet, so is it possible for you to send them to another player? If you can, I should be able to offer you some considerable assistance. Also, I'll need coordinates.

what do i need to trade, currently going mad with pig iron, got 6000 of the stuff and running low on crystal, thought i needed alot of pig iron, but after building 12 mines in a row starting to get a build up

To be able to trade, you need to build a Trading Center. a Trading Post lets you buy ships from other people - but you pay a premium for doing so and even so, you can only use the ship if you have the right techs for it!

Alternatively, you can just ask me or Stumpy to send you resources.

Trust me when I say 6000 pig-iron isn't much. Some of the structures get expensive really quickly. A level 2 X-Wars Bank requires 55,125 Pig-Iron, 12,000 Crystals, and 34,125 Frurozin!

Wookie, i've got 15,000 Frurozin if you want it. If not, i'll save up a bit more and research Interstellar Trade 6.

after 3 days,i'm averaging out at 900 pig iron an hour, well cannot even trade yet, not even researched interstella trade, been trying to save enough frurozin for the reasearch(2500) takes some time to get, allthough should have enough by tomorrow night in both accounts when i get back from work

i'm still hoping and waiting to see if any of the botf2 alliance gets in the top 100, i'm way off not even got to 500 points yet

its a strange game, just get enough of one resource mining and the darn game stars demanding large amounts of another resource, it will take me ages to get my little fleet up and running

Im no where near the top 100 yet, but i think ive progressed more than anyone coz I've been playing a few weeks longer than all you guys and even longer than MOE.

I don't even understand how people are getting more than one account. I guess using a new e-mail address might work, but then you could end up on the opposite side of the galaxy from your "real" account.

just got attacked today by this person with light ships, his total force was att 1082 and def 786, i just hope i'm not gonna have this account farmed, his name was (GTF)SlaveOfAsgad and came from 3x67x5, unfortunatly i have no defenses at moment and he raided me for 11364 pig iron, if he does it again i'd rather trade excess materials to another player, attack number 2 coming up, hes gonna get a surprise i'll spend my materials rather than let him have them

Ok guys, I've just been contacted by a player called Crichton - he's a member of the [RO] Romania Alliance. He told me that his leader - Thor_Asgard - has "a proposal" for me/us, but I don't know what it is yet.

He sent me to the Romania discussion boards, and i've said hi to them, so i'm just waiting for the reply.

I'll post again when I find out what the proposal is, and, if necessary, i'll set up a vote about it. I want to try out the voting system in X-Wars anyway.

Romania Alliance currently has 30 members, and is currently ranked at seventh. I have a feeling that they are either gonna ask us to ally with them, join them, or become a wing or something under their alliance.

Like I said, i'll let you guys know what happens.

well after the third attack of my enermy he has stopped for the moment, i guess him getting nothing for the second and third attack made a impact

I guess you're lucky. Terrab is just being vindictive with me. Several times he has gained nothing from me, yet even so, attack fleet number 26 is on its way!

He has gained a lot of resources from me now though. It's probably getting close to 30 or 40 thousand of each resource now.

His attacks have been less frequent in the last 2 or 3 days, but they're still coming. Ah well, he'll regret attacking me after tomorrow. I've just sent some tactical weapons to my other account for safe keeping...

well... I voted neither. I feel that a non-agression pact would be good, but it could slow our progression.

but one thing I DONT want is to become a wing.

I've voted for a non-attack pact for now. Only because Im not planning on attacking anyone or a while (if at all) and it would help to have such a powerful alliance not to attack us.

Also I dont want to be apart of a wing either. Think i mentioned why a few posts ago.

Also if we decided neither then they could attack us as we've refused them.
