Anty, which url did you use? Like I said, the first one doesn't work very well. I'd recommend using one of the other ones. Plasma-FX is the best.

Make sure you follow instructions as well - make sure the pages load properly and make sure you log out of your account after applying the changes. The changes don't take effect until you log back into the game.

Ritter, WHERE are you supposed to download the packs to? I noticed that they had the packs available as .rar files, but if this is a web-based game, what is the point in downloading anything for it?

Ritter, as far as I can tell, the servers are up and running again. I can access stumpy's accounts and they are working fine - even though he hasn't applied any graphics packs. I couldn't use a graphics pack on his accounts because I don't have access to his account button.

I still don't understand how downloading a pack can change how the game works though. It's a web-based game, so surely downloading stuff won't do anything...

If you are, then I find it odd that the combined Race/Faction bonuses haven't been implemented yet. Surely if you're gonna have bonuses, it won't take any work to have them combined?

Actually, the bonuses you were talking about are applied, but that particular link is the description page which hasn't yet been translated/posted (there are a lot of those). As for how downloading the graphics helps the server, think of it like this: If you just log in, the game has to send you the game info itself and the basic backgrounds, looks, etc. If you have graphics that the game can simply tap into on your computer, then it only needs to send you the updated game info. The less stuff the server has to send you, the less work it has to do--at least I think that's how it works. I'm sure some of the IT people on here could explain it far better than I can.

Ok, i'll keep it simple this time. Answer me this one question: WHERE do you download the graphics packs to?! Your desktop? Your temporary Internet Files folder? Your Program Files folder...?

I know you've asked and I've actually answered: I don't know. I haven't looked into it. The only thing I know is that I translated a page which said it's possible. I was going to look into it when the server was having problems, but then ended up not needing to.

My MOE account had fun last night. Terrab attacked it six times. I'm slowly building up my industry to mount a full-scale counter-offensive against him though.

Yes, this is a known bug that has been "fixed" several times. Just to be on the safe side, when I'm going to build something on my colony I make sure that my main planet can't build it--not enough resources, already busy, whatever.

Also, by the end of the day I should have Hyperspeed Engines available. If anyone would care to purchase some ships or tactical weapons, let me know and I'll start figuring out prices. If you have some gold, you can even purchase some of my light ships equipped with defensive teleporters.

dpi are heavily at war with other clans, let me know if ya continue to get attacked, plus give me a report of thier attack strength, i'm building ships as we speak and defending your planet may be fairly easy for me

plus my enermy , the gtf allaince seems to have stagnated, thier that weak that now thier under attack protection from me
