About the new guys I don't have a problem of helping them and for them to join us eventualy, but not for now, We already have I think 3 members that are still at the begining.I still think we should accept members with at least 1500 points.

Don't get me wrong I would love to have more members then any alliance here but also to have a strong one , not a target for everyone.

I know this sounds stupid, but I started reading the posts here as you have progressed through the game and I became hooked. I wish I had some more time to actually play X-wars, but at the moment, a full time job and school seem to be taking up the majority of my days.

Hm...I don't think that you guys know about the race-specific technologies yet, so I'm going to point it out to you. Each race has specific technologies/buildings that allow it to do things the other races can't.

Terrans

Upgrade Facility - Allows you to upgrade previously built ships/defenses with attack and defense bonuses.

Recycling Center - Allows you to recycle previously built ships/defenses
for portions of the original resources.

Noberians

Intelligence Center - Allows for sabotage of ships, resources, bank, buildings, defenses, building status, and energy.

Xianers

X-Wars Credit Institution - Gives you the production of one hour instantly for the sacrifice of a certain amount of resource production later.

Bugserians

I don't think these guys have anything special...they just get attack bonuses I think.

Anyways...I thought I might clue everyone in to the different strengths. I noticed in the beginning of this thread that MOE told everyone to be Terrans, which means as an alliance we are missing crucial elements of the game. My two friends are Xianer (Joe) and Noberian (Frost), they could help later. We should try to recruit from the other areas of the game as well. I just hope that this information isn't outdated...I haven't read through the entire thread yet.

well personnally i'd have noberion and terran, terran for ship upgrading and nob for sabotage , preferably on terrab

I just thought I should let everyone know, as it seems we have no influential people of any race other than Terrans...I think we should probably recruit some people of high points in the other races.

It depends on what you want. Carbon is usually better than metal because it has higher defense and less weight, but it can have a higher energy cost. Shields take huge amounts of energy but compensate with low amounts of weight and high defense. Metal is very heavy, but has decent defense and very low energy costs. I would base it on what kind of weapons you have on your ships. If you have high energy weapons (plasma cannons and such), go for metal or carbon. If you have low energy weapons (missiles and stuff), go for shields. If you just want something good everywhere, I'd stick with carbon.

Okay, in other words, we need diplomats, who, if possible, speak German and English. Why do we need chats? Do you mean a chat room or just discussion? Also, don't ask me to speak German, because 1. I can't, and 2. It'd be like asking hell to freeze over AND pigs to fly, along with the sky to turn a combination of dark red with bright yellow clouds...in other words, pretty much impossible.

I've got a bit of a problem contacting RO because I haven't got a clue who their leader is (Thor_Asgard quit for personal reasons) and i'm still waiting for my application to be processed on their forums.

I've had ANOTHER member application, this time from a guy called Tsume-Tsuchi. He's only got 276 points, but he's a Noberian. As you said, Perfecteagle, we NEED more non-terran players.

Should we accept him or not? His application message actually has me worried, as word about our alliance is definitely spreading...

It would be good to let him in because he is a Noberian, and obviously the Alliance screen has told him that we are helpful. He probably was just looking through the list for an alliance with high members and points, and we fall into both categories. Also, he probably has the help turned on, because it starts to tell you to join an alliance around resource production level 5 if everything else is being run smoothly. Let him in if you want, I don't care one way or another. I think Frost will probably be more helpful to us as a Noberian, but currently this new application has more points. If we take a vote, I'll vote in Tsume-Tsuchi's favor though.

Oh yeah, if you don't already have it, download Firefox from http://www.mozilla.com, it allows you to multitask X-Wars and the forum at the same time, along with anything else you can think of. Just use the tabbed browsing, which is under the file menu. It might make it so that you can build things faster or moniter the posts and in-game messages better. Just another tip.

Regarding Admin for anyone (this is a tip for you MOE), only do it with people you trust A LOT because some people who ask will turn the alliance inside out and boot all of your members and such. Raiden, I'm not saying this against you, I don't know you as well as MOE or the others, this is just from my personal experience. When I originally played this game, I had an alliance called the Axis of Allies (WWII reference, but I meant it as both sides could be in this alliance, NOT "I favored the Axis powers"). I ran it similarly to how this one seems to be run, and there was a player who seemed to be like a trusted advisor for the alliance. I made him admin, and the result was an alliance that had all of it's members booted and then was promptly disbanded. It never reformed. Be careful with privileges in alliances.

i wouldn't touch that area, i'd just advise mat on a month by month basic, it would enable me to see were everyone is even the new members, so i could trade and defend better, i could also see whcih members are active and advise mat wether we should boot the non active members

As I said, I wasn't saying not to, just pointing it out. We could post member locations and points here, in the forum, or just grant those specific privileges to people whom they would help. Also, apparently Anty has deciding not to send me resources yet, so I still can't do anything. Could someone help? I can accept 16500 Metal, 13500 Crystal, 9000 Frubin, 7000 Orizin, and 8000 Frurozin. The sooner the better.
