This might sound strange, Trashman, but have you considered swapping the Cardassian Small and Medium yards round? I say this because the current small yard - the two-ringed yard - is a more substantial structure simply because it has two rings.

It could serve two ships because of the two rings. The current medium shipyard couldn't do this, unless there are docking posts at both the top and bottom of the pylons...

Now that you mention it - I did forgot to add the docking struts to the pylons.

I was looking at this picture while making it

Now that I look at them closely, the current medium shipyards remind me of a Voyager episode where they found some alien slingshot thingy that sent than 10000 lightyears closer to home or something. The design is very similar from what I remember of it...

I also realised that if you were to swap the models round as I said, you would have to make changes to the sizing of your fleetyard model. Obviously I don't want you to do that, so forget I posted it.

Nice looking ships.. but I am concerned.. All the Romulan birds look alike. I'm a battlecrusier kinda guy, speed / firepower. I like it due to the solid body structure. IT is a 1 purpose ship.. WAR.. I would like one like what I play with in botf... or upgrade it. but with a solid body and a short command center.

Battleclinic.com have some REALLY good Romulan models that we might be able to use.

I especially like their Ael Ra'kholh and Aen'Stelam Class ships because they are so different yet are still soo obviously Romulan.

Some other good designs are the Aen'Laehval, the Ael’ Hatham, the Ahllhu'anhofv-sen, the Akhiy' khaiell, the C-Class Warbird, and the D'Kazanak Classes are all models that I think would be nice models for the game.

I actually downloaded the D'Kazanak class and used it in Starfleet Command 2, so if anyone wants to see more screenshots of it, just say. I've got some beauty shots of it unleashing its Disruptors.

There are plenty more, but I didn't think a age full of links would be of benefit to people. If people want to look through the ships themselves though, this is the Link.

Why do you even ask? Of course you can :D

@WinterHawk - you mena my ships or in general? becosue the cruiser (D'Bora ofr whatever) and the battleship were ment to be hte little nad big brother of the Warbird (D'Deridex), so they had to look pretty similar.

but you can't in your right mind say that that battleship and the warbird look the same.
the light cruiser I was experimenting with and that miranda like upper torpedo strip and flat, clean end are rather unconventional for rumulan designs.

@Matress - nice looking ships.
That Shadowing is excellent, especilly since it looks like the romulan simbol. I was thinking of making something like that next. Looks like a flagship to me :d
the Ael'Hathan, Blackwing and the C-classs warbird are kick-ass too :D

It is all wonderful work. Trashman is not a fitting title. I hope that Santa will bring me Photoshop or a least a 3d unwrap.

I like the use of a Cylon influence. The flowing lines work. I think of the Romulan design as flowing like that used for the Elf's in the Lord of the Rings films. Evil space elf's with a bird inspired line of space ships is what I am trying to carry over into the Romulan outpost and star-base I have in development. The texture on the outpost and star-base of BOTF were very very detailed and exquisitely done. The overall lines were boxy clunky and dwarf like. I am trying now to bring my textures up to speed with BOTF, the original, but improve on the lines over BOTF, the original. I hope to have something more to post in a week or so. (Texture for the outpost and lines for the star-base.)

Just to let you know that I'm not dead.. I'm simply taking a breather...and waiting to find out more about the battle engine itself.

You've seen how fast I work so there is no rush for me :D
