Gorn ship concept from the digital remaster of the original series.
The remaster give us some new ideas for canon.

Remember that game I was trying to show you last night, Winterhawk? Starfleet Command 2 has the Gorn as one of the playable races. They've got a lot of models, although they are nothing like the one Kenneth posted.
In SFC2, the Gorn have huge, lumbering ships. But what they lose in speed and maneouverability, they make up for in Phaser arcs and multiple Plasma Torpedo launchers.

Too bad that game crashes on me whenever I attempt to play it. Granted, I haven't tried too hard to look for patches.
However, I would expect the Gorn ships for the ToS era to be of similiar design. Why reinvent the wheel? Besides, it's already familiar to a lot of Star Trek video gamers.

SFCII is really an amazing game, I love it, though I haven't played it in awhile. I usually played as the Mirak though. There's something special about watching 12+ guided missiles chase down a Cruiser and smash it to bits. Brings a tear to my eye every time *sniff*
Here's just a taste:

Ha, when ever I had to fight against the Mirak, the only thing I had to worry about was firing my phasers before they were used for point defense to take out missiles. In fact, I'd disable point defense for my initial overload strike, and then turn it back on afterwards. The anti-missile battery easily handled every single missile shot in my direction (and occasional at an ally's direction). And since I was typically running around in the dreadnaught, I had a few missiles of my own so I'd usually target their anti-missile defenses (unless they had 3 of them, then screw that).
The Mirak's strength and weakness are the missiles they employ. They hit like a truck, but are easy to get rid of.
I was probably most terrified about the Romulans and Gorn. Those plasmas hurt. But man once they fired them, I made sure atleast one shield was down.

Lol, point defence was a bugger, but not too much of one. What the Mirak had over the other races was range.
The Mirak BB had, I believe, 12 missile launchers. And the capacity to launch them faster than phasers can recharge. What I would do is go to full speed towards the target and launch off 2 volleys of missiles. I would be going almost as fast as the missiles so the volleys would be close together. I would then slow right down and let the missiles continue. Point defence would mop up most, if not all, of the first volley, but then 12 more missiles would slam into just 1 or 2 shield arcs, with those shields down I'd use hit and runs to kill the tractors and start destroying phasers and anti missile systems. And of course I also had a handy helping of Disruptors.
The only ones that could actually do anything to me in the multiplayers I used to do would be Lyran with their damn ESG field that would just shrug off any missile volley of pretty much any size.

I forgot about the PPD. It's definately the coolest weapon in SFCII imo.
I guess we should quit spamming the thread with SFCII stuff though.
And I guess to keep the masses happy, ships should probably move, at varied rates too.
