I completed a 600-pointer a couple of hours ago, but that still leaves 400-odd points. Someone else must've done a pretty hefty work units as well...

The only downside to 600-pointers is that they take several days to complete, even if your computer is on non-stop... :(

Oh, and i'm currently running another 600-pointer.

35 minutes 24 seconds per frame. :(

You need to check the stats at the official F@H. They get updated every hour so if you submitted a WU at 16:40pm, it'd be on the 16:00pm stats. Uf its within half an hour of the next update it sometimes gets put on the next one ie 18:00pm. HTH

I have been checking the stats. The 100WU is not showing for us, so I an going to drop a line to F@H in there forums. They are excellent at getting things corrected.

Don't worry Winterhawk, this happens all the time. They check their database once a month or week for dropped stats etc. then update as necesary.

Even so, some units get missed, although that's pretty rare. Don't worry, chances are it'll be updated some time in the near future.

lol, not according to the estimate I'm getting from F@H. It started yesterday and I'm up to 4800. The app says next wednesday, but it will probably even be sooner.

Bloody WU keeps changing itself - btw found out F@H doesn't like P2P programs running at the same time. That might be why.

250 Pointer, 18 hours to go so Saturday night probably

You misunderstand me, i'm not referring to a PSP (Play Station Portable), P2P stands for Peer to Peer. Generally used for sharing files over the net.

I'd just like to point out to any mods here that i stick to all laws of copyright referring to downloading and sharing files.

well the only windows update i've been aware of to cause problems in the Genuine Advantage. Go to Add/Remove Peograms, click Show Updates and scroll down to the WinXP ones and see if one called Genuine Advantage is installed.

Warning to anyone if you have Automatic Updates you will have this installed. Be warned if you don't have a proper copy of windows

Chris What does it do exactly? And would it be something that could mess up F@H?

So anyway, have you all seen that we have been growing? I mean moving on up!.. lol I'm on another 500WU that started last night and is already almost done! If everyone elses system is working as good as mine we can really climb!

[ EDIT ] 1:37 am 19 Nov , 2006.

Wanted to let you all know I did in fact get that other computer. It's an
E-?? it has an Intel 82443LX/EX Pentium II Processor. it was a Win 95 but was upgraded to a Win 98 Second Edition.

I posted a message on the F@H forums. Seem I can run F@H, but I'm making sure.

What I would need help with is I have broadband connection through Quest. My XP system is connected using the ethernet. but my USB is still open. Can I plug into that and then into the older system and be able to run both? Should any of you be able to tell me please do.. I'm lost to this type of thing.

I don't really understand what you mean. USB shouldn't interfere with it - or are you trying to link them on a network through USB?

Well Chris I was thinking I could Tie in this Win 98 to my broadband.

But I guess not..
Seems All was for nothing. This machine has no modem in it,
I do not have the type cord (other then telephone cord) to tie both computers together.

It does have a USB port.

The Cable I have (USB) plugs into my broadband modem then into a USB port. I tried it to no avail.

But the computers are still not networked.

OH well, was a nice dream to have 2 CPU's chewing up WU's for the team.

:( :( :(

MOE what unit are you doing right now? Are you still on p2414? Coz thats the one im on. Wouldn't it be interesting to see how long it takes me to do one frame on my laptop compared to your pc!?
Would this be a fair test?

At the moment it takes me at fastest 11 min/ frame. but it can go up to 17 min.

If it was fair, wouldnt it be interesting if we made a simple database to compare how fast out pc/ laptops could fold certain unit?

or is that just me being sad?
