Very nice MOE, it's not bad at all considering the problems with colour amounts.

Good for all of you. I no soner finish a 20,000 WU then I'm given a 500, then anothe 20,000.. what are we so fast they only give up the large crap points WU's??
Since I started that 20,000 WU on my Win 98, it is at 6800/20,000. I am now on my 3rd or 4th 20,000WU with 500's in between. I am wondering if it was even worth it to stat up that Win 98 doing this. But then I do have until March to finish it also..
I'll be soooooo happy when i can get a job and replace that win 98 with a new system! ( So will my wife! )
Matress nice work on the team avatars.. But how would you animate mine? I would be interested to see that.

ATIMEN Was here?? Hmmmm That can be fixed! lol
Wanted to say I finally started a 50,000 WU the other day. My first! lol
I feel so honored. Also I had to shut down my Win 98 system. We had a power outage that only lasted a few seconds but it started the 20,000 WU all over again for a third time. I decided to just kill it.. no point in trying to work something that keeps starting over. Oh well My new Years Res is to get my wife a new computer with the duo Core.. That way she will smoke me on these! lol

Big Problem. I finished my latest 50,000 WU but the server is NOT Recieving it at all . I have been waiting two days now. I posted this problem on the F@H forums and am waiting for a reply.
this is what I'm getting in case you all want to know.:
[23:10:55] + Attempting to send results
[23:10:56] Error: Got status code 503 from server
[23:10:56] + Could not connect to Work Server (results)
[23:10:56] (171.65.103.100:8080)
[23:10:56] Could not transmit unit 08 to Collection server; keeping in queue.
[23:41:37] Writing local files
[23:41:37] Completed 17000000 out of 50000000 steps (34)
So you see what I'm up against. It is costing me time from working another WU.. and that hurts our team and that makes me Mad!

Strange, I uploaded the other day fine. Have you checked all your settings under 'configuration'?
Otherwise I dont know.
MOE is unable to help either as his conection has been severed! Mainly due to his mum I think and wont be online till tomorrow when he goes to work!

Stumpy, Moe CRASHED his system! LMAO! He would not listen and do the things he need to in time! LOL.
But I did get the answer. IF you have your settings for IE7 on yes. reset it to no! Use a proxy server. (Mine said local server 8080) I was told that will clear it up. It is due to Way to many people signing in at the same time and the server cannot handle the load.... I'll update later to let you all know how it goes.
OH yea and if anyone is wondering about deadlineless folding.. I read that it will no longer be used! Thought I had better pass that along as well.

Yeah was over MOE's today and his internet is working now, but he's using a VERY old computer. lol so not much response.
I tried using the deadlineless option before but it has never worked for me in the past. It can never download a work packet!

I also found out that we should not use the proxy settings either. If I understand right, they are either upgrading something or trying to fix something. As of now they informed me to do what I said above minus the proxy settings. That is until things get back to normal.
Getting your WU's works excellent. Sending the information back to them is where a ton of people are getting stuck.
I made a comment that perhaps they should set up a notice on the main page of the forums to let others know about this problem. Hope they take me up on it. But I wanted to pass this along to all our teams folders to save them any possable problems that I have ran into.
Just thinking of the team!

I only used to set it to the local server 8080 when my firewall software kept getting in the way on my parents computer! I have no firewall software on my laptop and it all works fine on the internet conection settings for me!

Hehe you should've asked me about that - I had to set my computer in work to use folding via a proxy link - that was the ONLY way to get it work!
As for the problem that they're trying to sort out, it may be a while before they get a proper patch that works for everyone - there are lots of fixes against IE7 on the official forums, but they don't all work for everyone - you've gotta try them all until you find one that works for YOU. Even changing the settings for IE didn't work for me on my works computer, Winter!
...
Stumpy, do you know how to add exceptions to Windows Firewall? If not you should've asked me!
...
I agree with Stumpy, my old computer is oooold! It's a super-powerful AMD K6-2 450 Mhz computer with a 40Gb HD, (Original was 2Gb but it died) 160Mb of RAM, and Windows 98 SE.
An engineer is supposed to be coming round today to install a new HD for me - only problem is that i'm in work today. My dad and sister are there...but my dad doesn't know how to even turn on the computer and my sister seems to think that revising for an exam tomorrow is more important than fixing my computer. Stupid girl.
Anyways, expect a scream of joy, or a scream of...screaming...in my signature tonight.

Yeah I know how to add exceptions to windows firewall, but in the end I just turned it off, and then found out it was folding at home causing the problem, as you can't 'Get and Return work units in Batches'. Remember that problem on my parents computer in the holidays?

Feel for you MOE, my neighbour had pretty much the same problem and by almost two weeks he was understandably very p***ed off. Everything worked fine in the end though. All the best mate

Any of you noticed how http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com has been down for the past few days? Or is it just a weird thing with my connection like the BOTF2 forums before?
Cheers

I use IE7 with no problem. Do you have all the proxies shut off?
My setings look like this.
I was told to make sure it was this way otherwise stuff would not work.
but then this might not be the problem either.
