I run off and do some for six months or so, and come back to see
Just 4 actives? Where art thou, Moe? Bogseat? Raven? Azrael? Qaz? Even the active ones seem to be dead and just not technically inactive (though that stats site I havent got used to, but just happened to come across it). It's not for everyone, I know, especially some people with air cooling don't like hearing their fan blow category 5 winds and heat up their rooms all day. I'm a little surprised Ashur, or anyone else, hadn't already overtaken me! I've got probably 12-24hrs worth of WU's from my other projects, then I'll drop in place a pair of F@H console clients again. Anyone going to give me challenge for the top spot?  I won't have the production I used to, but it'll be good for a single system 24-7.
Edit: Sorry guys, my quick glance totally missed the official (and now goliath sized) 'Official' thread. It looks like you guys have been having some technical problems, and at least two of you are bleeding bad WU's (Raven and TBChris). I'll try to catch up in the official thread after dinner. |

I'm not folding coz my computer is DEAD at the moment - it hasn't got anything on its brand-new harddrive - not even an operating system, so it is completely useless. I'm waiting for PC World to send me a Windows XP installation disk - which incidentally *should* have arrived on Wednesday!
I'm on my old computer at the moment - it's an AMD K-6 2 450Mhz leviathian of computing with only 160Mb RAM, so I just can't risk running folding@home on it because it is barely running as it is! I have otherwise folded right the way through your absence though, Ringold - but how could you honestly expect me to overtake you?! You're STILL 40000 points ahead of me! 8O Anyways, I have managed to get some folding done in my absence - I borged some computers in work. 
The tech guys found folding@home on the computers and removed it, but not before it managed to do 6 units, so its still something. |
