Didnt even know they were doing any more after the crap last one where conner mcloud died in it. To be honest i dont like the new lead i prefere christopher lambert as he had the cool voice for it and edgy look to him. This new one looks like a goody too shoes which i hate for highlander films.

Btw heres link to new film.

I liked Duncan MacLeod; I got introduced to Highlander through the TV series. It got a little gay at one point, but a lot of it was good.. also introduced me to the greatness of Queen.. Though Christopher Lambert was definitely great in the role. And I hope they dont make it goody-goody like you said; I mean.. c'mon.. "There can only be one" doesn't leave much room for negotiation, really.. ;)

Hmm.. Well, sorta like Star Trek, I'll take what I can get at this point, right? :) Especially when I didn't see a Highlander movie coming.

To me, the first one is downright normal compared to Highlander II: The Quickening, but they all definitely qualify as strange.

I just went and checked wikipedia entries on them and I've realized I'm pretty confused on some of it. I've seen most of the TV series and all the movies -- but if you've ever watched The Quickening and then seen the Renegade version, well.. almost two different movies :P

Mmm.. time to go watch 'em all again..

Ring, your right. I also watched all of them (both movies and tv series) and they are different. The quickening at first through me for a loop, but it was not difficult to catch on and then teh show became more interesting and somewhat fun with the sword battles.

At least I thought so.

A community college near here has sword fighting classes, and back in high school me and my buds all discovered Highlander and went nuts. We were going to all buy swords and take the class together, but.. the potential geekiness kept us at bay.. and swords aren't cheap! Now we're spread across the state and full of excuses.. wimps. I woulda done it. If I was ever home during a home invasion I'd sure make the news with that;

Home Burgular Beheaded By Angry Homeowner!

... Neighbors report strange electrical storm.

LOL Ringold. I did take a fenceing class. Then got a chance to learn medevil sword fighting. Whoa! Them blades were heavy.! Bought an Old spanish sword (hand & a half broad) Took me months to be able to lift the stupid thing. LOL But at least now I do know how to use them. My preference is still my bow. * I just prefer to reach out and touch someone at a distance* lol

Plus here in the mountains a sword is just not that effective for combat.
