Regarding "Star Trek XI": "I think it should be a Klingon movie ... And I'm gonna ask for millions. Millions!" http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/index.html

I agree. :)

Besides, action sells, right? Klingon's have it all; glorious battle, crazy sex, and bloodwine!

About a year and a half now and we'll have XI in one form or another. I'm lookin' forward to it; and later the following year (potentially the next few months after it), we'll be getting a Star Wars TV flick. Won't be the same as a Trek one, but better than nothing since BSG will likely be gone by then.

I do hope they manage to make a good film. So many of the trek films were like so many on the trek games.

I just watched Star Trek VI again last night. I think that was probably my favorite Trek movie, perhaps second to First Contact.

It's interesting how small the pool of Sci-Fi actors is. Brock Peters, who played Joseph Sisko in DS9, played Admiral Cartwright in STVI. Also, Rene Auberjonois, who played Odo in DS9, played Colonel West. And then there was Michael Dorn (Worf) playing the Klingon Defense Counsel. You also see a lot of Trek actors in other series like B5 and Stargate. I remember being amused that the actor who played Phlox on Enterprise also played a Trekkie scientist in SG-1.
