Great news - You really have done a great deal of quality work.
I hope I got it right - so I will repeat it to see if it is correct.
I put a .3ds file with a 2048 x 2048 .bmp texture file in a folder named for the ship. This folder I compressed to .rar and uploaded to the 3D model subfolder of SharePoint (Documents / Shared Documents / 3D Models ....)
If the .bmp turns out to be too big for the games it can always be dumb down to say 512 x 512.
Also there is the 270 x 225 .png beauty shot on a transparent background to put in the Pictures / Image Library subfolders of SharePoint. That is so we can see the ships as we select them to build in the games, but you already know that.
