Or so it would appear.. There's hope for several Direct-to-DVD films though if the one being released this year does well.

BSG, I will miss you.

Galactica is excellent. The more they try to drag out the trip to earth though the worse it got. It will be best to wrap it up and move on. Star Trek is more the universe you create to have a million story lines. Galactica is one close ended story with a few chapters.

I gree it is an excellent show, and probably should end with just one more season to wrap it up.

I can't get no relief :D

According to executive producer David Eick, Battlestar Galactica is still an open-ended adventure and it will not be ending after the 4th season as previously reported. Evidently Edward James Olmos jumped the gun on confirming the show would be ending while attending the Saturn Awards this month. Eick goes on to say that the fourth season would actually be 22 episodes (2 more than prior seasons) rather than the reported 13 episode order.
Perhaps not...

I got my coverage from SyFyPortal, which talked to Eick and got much the same type of response.. we've heard this though not just from him but the studio's and Olmos and Sackhoff.

I agree with Kenneth to a degree; I think it's still going strong myself, but I oh-so-painfully remember what happened to the original BSG when they tried to draw things out. Another season (or 2 would be nice, which is possible as it'd make BSG perfectly sized for syndication if I recall, though thats also the reason for the 2 extra episodes, so that if it does end at s4 it'd be a smallish syndication package) would be just enough to find Earth and.. end however it must end.

But this doesn't mean the end of BSG entirely! :) Remember, they've got the Caprica series awaiting approval, and that could turn in to a full blown recount of the first Cylon War. Hoorah!

Last I heard, Sci-Fi had decided not to sign the Caprica series, and Ronald D. Moore had said that it's on the backburner indefinitely :(. Too bad, because it sounded like a great show.

That is too bad.. I hoped they'd pick it up and run concurrently for whatever the last season was, like how DS9 and TNG ran, and then DS9 and Voyager. I wonder if they'll reconsider after BSG is all wrapped up? They'll have to come out with something; Stargate Atlantis just doesn't seem flag-ship quality.. Better than it used to be, but not a flagship show like Farscape and now BSG was.

But then, they ran empty for a couple years between Farscape and BSG, not including the mini-series. Hmm.. Maybe they'll drag JM Straczynski out of cold-storage and let him do something other than the odd special feature.

No Star Trek on the horizon, there's Star Wars, but with King George one never knows if it's anything from Jar Jar to Death Star's until it's already done.

Maybe, strobel, by the time BSG ends its run you'll have Supremacy done, and we'll all hardly notice the temporary departure of space-based scifi. :)

I wouldn't count on it, not unless it runs for at least 5 seasons ;). Or I somehow inherit a few million dollars and can quit my day job.

Yes. If they could use the same team of writers and make a spin off it would be great.

I hope we can wrap up these games by then. I have been thinking about a little better presentation on this site for attracting more worker bees. More on that later.

Kenneth of Borg, the Swedish collective?, out.

I may be able to snag another programmer in addition to DCER. That would make two plus myself. We could still use more art and music people though.

Are there places we could advertise for art help?

I have put in a word here and there - but I am ugly and have no friends. :P
