Hey guys, i'm back on the forums from my holiday. I can see the forums have been busy - glad they didn't crash and burn without my...guidance...

Austria is a beautiful country - if you like history, natural beauty, shopping, or simply want to get away from the big smog, then Austria is the place for you. Everything over there is cheap too...although you have to pay to use the toilets.

Most of the toilets are sensor controlled though, so you'd love them if you love gadgets!

...But enough about toilets. Mountains, fields, lakes, fields, palaces, fields, and cathedrals. Austria has it all. Did I mention there are fields. Lots and lots of them - as far as the eye can see. Austria isn't built up like Britain and America, there are very few built up areas. The air is clean, there isn't any litter, and you can drink the water!

The coach ride was a bugger though. 15 hours one day, 8 hours the next. Oh, and the coach broke down so we were stranded for 6 hours.

Go by plane if you can!

Welcome back - It is good to see you again. Thanks for the pointers about Austria. So were the hills alive with the sound of music? We need some for the game.

(Yes. Arny drove an M45 tank in the Austrian army at age 19. It was all down hill after that.)

Thanks to Zeleni we now have a plug in for MilkShape that lets us get more of the thousands of models online. We can convert them to 3DS. There are a lot of additions to the SharePoint model files. They fall into three categories.

1. Great model game ready

2. Needs work and is there for anyone to download and fix or find a better example.

3. Total trash that just has a nice shape we could copy into a real model.

Thanks to master Zeleni I can go back over our files looking for better ships and more ships online. This will take time but be faster than building all the models from one poly up. Along with lots of emails for permission to use models I am also sending invitations to model builders to join the team here. Sadly many of the email addresses are outdated.

Haha, yes, my family is from Strobl am Wolfgangsee in Austria . The name was Americanized to "Strobel" after moving here. You've officially beaten me back to my own place of origin.
