Hi, as some of you know I am making my own "Star Trek" game. I am still in the 1st stage of getting my thoughts together. Here is what I have so far.
- Spieces you can pick from:
- Hologram
- Human
- Vulcan
- Borg
- You will be able to do everything a person in the "Star Trek" series could do.
- You will be able to use everything including Consoles, Tools, Drinks, anything.
- If you chose Hologram then you will get a mobile ammiter (As seen on the doctor in my Avatar Picture)
- You can Build ships, or join ships. Or have your own.
Let me know what you think so far.

This sounds like fun. I hope we can share with you some of the work we have complied for the other games in production here.

If this is not based on the play by messenger/email rpg you were discussing then this can stay open.

Exactly what type of game is this? An MMORPG of sorts? Have you ever developed a game before? If not, you ought to consider starting out with something a bit more managable.

well i`m guessing mmo from what you have written, quite an undertaking indeed. a few questions however,
What engine will you be useing?
Do you have a website?
why are you advertiseing here? we have very few models which would be used in an mmo after all.
will you require a subforum set up?
have you any concept art?
are you after help with gui stuff?
would you require interiors of starships?
one other thing, you cannot ask for donations on this site, after the destinys wind debacle i certainly want nothing like that to happen over here.
don`t take that personally, i mean no slur on you but it had to be said.

I really think we should keep this forum dedicated to BotF-style games. That is the purpose of the site afterall. There are plenty of other sites that might be willing to host subforums for other games, like startrek-games.com. No harm in letting them spread the word, though .

True, but you started the site after all, so I think we can make an exception in your case . But really, it's getting hard enough for new members to get all the projects straight.

I'd agree with Mstrobel to many games will just dilute everything and confuse new comers.

Confuse the new comers? It all STILL confuses the heck out of me. I wish the project well in any event and hope to see how it progresses.

If someone like you is confused about the games then everyone else is doomed, Kenneth!
Do some reading.

I have sim'd before it is knida like plying AD&D back in the day. you start with a story and each member builds off that story line till it your crew completes their mission. it is quite fun to do really if you have people that can roleplay well, and know their stuff about ST. Something like that really is not taking anything away on what the team members are doing here, but it does break our rule about advertising botf"off-topic" rules. but to be honest I was considering to post something like this about a week ago because I have some friends that were considering doing our own ST sim.

it is ok to post and ask people to join a sim, or help out on a game, i mean there is advertiseing for fun gameing stuff and then there is advertiseing something to sell, big differance there. it`s ok for people to try and recruit for simms here, just don`t spam the forums ok

No, it is not going to be a mmo. There will be a choice of online or singleplayer.
Greg is working on the website. It us currently not up.
If you give us a fourm setup that is up to you.
And we dont ask for donations.
I got as many as a could I belive Greg will be on soon.

yes but that was due to the fact it was not set up, you had no website, and a small post asking people to join was not what you posted, you posted all the information about the proposed sim, bit of a differance there.
