Saw this online and thought it was cool.
"You can't create a folder called 'con' in Microsoft Windows!"
Does any one have an explanation because it's really odd....

Woah it's true...the folder just disappears!
Wierd...but then again Windows has a hidden Star Wars movie built into it so god only knows what other stuff is hidden on there...

the command 'telnet' is telling XP to run the program telnet, opening a text based connection with towel.blinenlights.nl, a website. Once the connection is made, towel.blinenlights.nl sends text back, making it seem like an easter egg, when in reality its just a bunch of info being sent from one website to you.
So... yeah.

tut moe trust you to divert everyones attention from the MAIN point of this thread! lol
does anyone know why you cant name a file 'con' in windows? dont actually need a file called 'con' just wanna know why it wont let you but allows lots of swear and naughty words (i tried after i discovered this! lol)

Due to the fact windows needs those names reserved for some of its processes, you can't name a folder com1 or com2 either i believe.
