I think I have figured out a method for calculating the Dilithium requirements for Supremacy and BoTE (I assume the resource will be given a new non-Trek name for BotE) for all the ships. But before I can do it I need to make sure I know all of the ship classes that will be in the games in order from smallest to largest.
That I am aware of there are:
Fighter Scout Heavy Scout Destroyer Heavy Destroyer Escort? Light Cruiser Heavy Cruiser Carrier? Battleship Heavy Battleship Super Battleship

look here: http://www.botf2.com/bote/Wiki/Ship%20t ... G-era.aspxthose are ours. carrier won't be in-game, maybe modded, but not in the official version. yes, and dilithium will get another name it'll be Antium: http://www.technomancer-press.com/Terra ... tle=Antium (or Anthium I'm not quite sure yet).

well, tng is the most prominent era in Star trek so ships shouldn't be too weak there ..

A football player who was convicted of dog fighting.
Anyhow, there are only two components left to the Dilithium/Antium calculation charts that I am working on. Unfortunately I am a bit stumped on something. Just what is the difference between the shield types and what shield types go with each era.

shield type is some sort of durability property of the shields. 6000 shield points of type 0 are much less worth than 6000 or type 5 in terms of recharging etc.
which one is needed for the respective era you can see in the different standard ship property wikis for each era like the one above (the 6) is for the tng era ships!

All right. It looks like I will be transferring all the balancing work I have done over to Excel from Word... By any chance does anyone know how to do this without having to type everything into a spreadsheet one cell at a time?

you might wanna try to create a table in word itself by marking all text. after that mark the whole table and copy it into excel. must say i don't use word and excel, i have my openoffice .
