Birth of the Federation is still one of my top space strategy games (along with Master of Orion 3).

Would some one please advise me on the hottest new mods for the game, including the websites.

I had heard long ago, along with rumours about the existence of unicorns and interdimensional portals, that there was a mythical MOD which increased the number of star systems!

everything related to that is to be found here: http://www.armadafleetcommand.com/botf . The "hottest" mods can be found under community forums, modding and then installer enhanced mods! I recommend you start with UDM 2.1.6 and slowly work through the other mods to see which is most fun for you .

I'm not sure if there is a mod to increase the number of systems, but there is certainly a mod to increase the size of the existing systems - the planets mod - which is available in the link Malvoisin posted above.

To download any of the mods, you will need to first register with those forums. Armadafleetcommand is the parent site for these forums, and many of our members also frequent those forums, so there's no need to worry about signing up to soo many sites. I always found it strange that we don't just get dual membership automatically...
